Magic Johnson is commemorating 30 years since he became infected with HIV.

Days after the former athlete announced his illness, Freddie Mercury died due to complications from AIDS.

Even with his illness, Johnson has lived a normal life – his diagnosis dispels the stigma that all with the disease suffered.

It is unclear what treatment Johnson undergoes and how he’s been able to maintain his health – without developing AIDS.

Johnson tweeted that God has blessed him and thanks Him for giving him strength and guidance through his life and through having the disease.

Johnson will be sharing his story on a new Apple TV+ documentary series.

Rick Famuyiwa will be directing the docuseries with editor Dirk Westervelt – known for “Ford v Ferrari.”

Rachel Morrison, of “Black Panther” fame will oversee cinematography.

The new show will discuss Johnson’s illness, his basketball career, and his business endeavors.
