The supermodel, 26, and the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum, 57, have had a rocky few weeks due to a recent incident that involved Zayn Malik, 28.
On Good Terms
While many thought their relationship as mother and daughter strained because of the situation, that was not actually the case. According to a source, Gigi and Yolanda “never” had an argument over the incident where the mother of three allegedly entered her daughter and partner’s home without consent to visit her one-year-old granddaughter, Khai.
“Gigi and Yolanda are fine and never had an issue over the incident,” an insider told ET, after stating that the former reality star still feels upset that her issue with Zayn went public, and so does the British singer.
The insider added, “At the end of the day, Zayn will be in the families’ lives forever and everyone hopes one day they can all move on.”

The incident allegedly happened late last month in Pennsylvania, where Gigi and Zayn resided together with their daughter. Zayn reportedly got angry at Yolanda and called her a “f–king Dutch slut” and told her to “stay away from [my] f–king daughter,” as per the court documents that the outlet got ahold of. In addition, the former One Direction band member also allegedly “shoved [Yolanda] into a dresser causing mental anguish and physical pain.”
Zayn, however, denied hitting his girlfriend’s mother.
“I adamantly deny striking Yolanda Hadid and for the sake of my daughter I decline to give any further details and I hope that Yolanda will reconsider her false allegations and move towards healing these family issues in private,” Zayn said in a statement.
According to a report by The Blast, Zayn received two harassment charges involving Yolanda. In addition, he also was charged for harassing Gigi over the phone and another one involving a security guard whom he attempted to “physically engage in a fight.”
Zayn took to Twitter and addressed the issue.
“As you all know I am a private person and I very much want to create a safe and private place for my daughter to grow up in, a place where private family matters aren’t thrown on the world stage for all to poke and pick apart,” he wrote.
He continued, “In an effort to protect that space for [my daughter] I agreed to not contest claims arising from an argument I had with a family member of my partner’s who entered our home while my partner was away several weeks ago. This was and still should be a private matter but it seems for now there is divisiveness and despite my efforts to restore us to a peaceful family environment that will allow for me to co-parent my daughter in a manner in which she deserves, this has been ‘leaked’ to the press.”

The former couple has broken up after dating on and off since 2015 amid the allegations. In contrast to Zayn’s story, a source revealed that Gigi, who was in Paris at the time for work, asked Yolanda to “watch her daughter” while she was away.
However, according to another source, “Zayn’s mother was in town from the U.K. for a special visit, and she was at Gigi and Zayn’s apartment watching Khai and helping.”
