It's been fourteen years since Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey divorced.

The pop singers were considered one of music and Hollywood's cutest couples. Their fame rose thanks to the MTV reality show Newlyweds.

While the show helped them achieve success, many blamed the series for the demise of the couple's marriage.

Even though Nick and Jessica had other issues that contributed to their divorce, there are still fans who believe the pair were a victim of the reality show curse.

Throughout the years, there's been many celebrity couples who've split thanks to a reality show.

Hulk and Linda Hogan

Hulk Hogan is a wrestling legend, who also became a mainstream success out of the ring.

Along the way Hulk had the support of his wife Linda.

In 2005, the couple and their children Brooke and Nick signed on for the VH1 reality series Hogan Knows Best.

The series followed the family's home life, Brooke's singing career, and Hulk's return to wrestling.

The show became a big success and made the Hogan family stars.

However, behind the scenes tension was brewing with the family.

The show was cancelled in 2007 after Linda filed for divorce from Hulk. The reason for the split was due to Hulk's rumored infidelity.

Aside from the couple's divorce, the family also faced other issues. Their son Nick served jail time for a fatal crash that left his passenger seriously injured.

Jon and Kate Gosselin

Jon and Kate Gosselin rose to fame in 2007 with their reality show, Jon & Kate Plus 8.

The TLC series showcased the couple as they raised their twins and sextuplets.

The show became an immediate success as viewers kept tuning in to see the couple and their children.

However, throughout the course of the show, viewers noticed trouble brewing between the couple. Kate seemed like a nag as she constantly yelled at Jon and the kids.

It came as no surprise when the couple divorced in June 2009.

Since then the exes have been in the news coming forward with accusations towards each other.

Jon, who has custody of sextuplets Hannah and Collin has been critical of Kate's skills as a mother. He says that she sent Collin away to a medical facility for behavioral issues. Worried about Collin's well-being in the facility, Jon was awarded custody of his son.

Jon has stated that Kate doesn't allow Collin any contact with his other siblings. He also said that the fame has altered Kate's attitude, and thinks she cares more about success than her family.

Kelsey and Camille Grammer

Frasier star Kelsey Grammer married his third wife Camille in 1997.

Camille was working as a budding actress and model when she met Kelsey.

The couple became parents in October 2001 with their birth of their daughter Mason. Nearly three years later they welcomed their son Jude in August 2004.

Despite being a big-named star, Kelsey and Camille led a quiet life.

In 2010, Camille signed on to join the cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Kelsey made appearances on the show, and based on his interactions with Camille, viewers suspected their was trouble in paradise.

In the summer of 2010, she filed for divorce from Kelsey. Their divorce turned ugly as they fought over custody of their children and alimony. The couple also threw accusations at each other. Camille accused Kelsey of being abusive, while Kelsey says she was using him for money and fame.

Since their divorce, the exes have moved on. Camille married David C. Meyer in October 2018.

Kelsey married his fourth wife Kayte Walsh in February 2011, and they have three children together.

Travis Barker and Shanna Moakler

Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker and actress/model Shanna Moakler seemed like an odd pairing.

But as fans saw on their MTV reality series Meet the Barkers, the couple was madly in love.

The series followed the two as they juggled raising their two kids and Shanna's daughter.

Shortly after the second season of their show aired, the couple filed for divorce in August 2006 after two years of marriage.

Despite attempts at reconciliation, the couple continued with divorce proceedings.

The divorce was turbulent with the couple's constant arguing.

These days the exes are on better terms and share custody of their children.
