Drake is well-known for putting his heart into everything he does — from his emotional songs to stage performances and even on social media, the Canadian rapper keeps it real.
The “God’s Plan” crooner’s latest Instagram post held similar compassion as the 35-year-old finally penned his feelings about the unfortunate Astroworld concert.
The Grammy award winner was one of the highlights of the November 5 event that caused the tragic loss of lives and several wounded civilians.
Drake’s Heartfelt Pledge To Astroworld Victims
In a statement shared on Tuesday, November 9, the “Love All” singer expressed his grief over the devastating Astroworld incident.
The father-of-one explained that his silence about the tragic event was due to his distressed state over the matter. The “Toosie Slide” crooner needed a few days to comprehend what had happened.
Surprisingly, the Canadian rapper didn’t enjoy using Instagram to express “delicate emotions” like grief, another reason for his silence.

Despite the displeasure of using the social media platform, the self-proclaimed Champagne Papi managed to pen his love for the Astroworld victims.
Although Drake was heartbroken for the lives lost and those grieving or scarred by the unfortunate incident, the rapper pledged to help others heal. In his words:
“I will continue to pray for all of them and will be of service in any way I can. May God be with you all.”
Champagne Papi Sued Alongside Travis Scott For The Astroworld Tragedy
The Blast recently dropped the news of a second lawsuit filed against the rapper Travis Scott for his Astroworld music festival. This new suit named Drake as a defendant responsible for the incident.
The “Degrassi” actor was accused of negligence alongside Scott and Live Nation by Kristian Paredes, an alleged event victim.
The enraged fan stated in his legal documents that the concert’s organizers and rappers didn’t consider the safety of concertgoers.
The man believed that if the “OUT WEST” rapper’s concert history had been prioritized during the preparations of the music festival, the tragic stampede wouldn’t have occurred.
Drake was dragged into the heat as the plaintiff accused the Canadian native of instigating the massive surge during his performance with the “Goosebumps” crooner.
Paredes wanted $1 million in damages, making him the second victim asking for monetary compensation. The first alleged victim is a man named Manuel Souza, who also blamed the concert’s organizers for negligence.
Like his fellow plaintiff, the concertgoer believed the tragedy was preventable and blamed the organizers for failing to control the crowd after a stampede occurred at the start of the event.
How The “Gully” Star Is Helping Astroworld Victims
Drake isn’t the only person lending a hand to Astroworld victims, as The Blast shared that Scott will be paying the funeral costs for the eight lives lost.
The “5% TINT” crooner didn’t solely depend on his wallet to fix the problem as he partnered with BetterHelp to support grieving families and loved ones.
This organization will provide free virtual services with renowned mental health professionals for anyone struggling from the Astroworld disaster.
BetterHelp will also collaborate with the National Alliance of Mental Illness to manage the hotline created to ensure that the Houston community and concertgoers get the help they need.
