The Bachelor is a show about a man trying to find his true love among a group of women who’ve all consented to have their dating lives shown on national TV, but it’s become more known for the dramatic breakups and petty conflict between the contestants nowadays. So is it really that much of a surprise that a reality show about finding love doesn’t have the highest success rate? In a way, it’s surprising any of these couples are still together at all.
After Colton jumped over a fence to escape his Portuguese hotel and run after Cassie, we all knew that was it for him–It had to be Cassie. The pair hit it off a little later in the season than Colton and some other women, but their chemistry was undeniable: Colton just seemed more happy, relaxed, and himself around Cassie than around any others. In a recent Instagram post, Cassie wished him a happy birthday, saying “There are no words for how lucky I feel to have you! Life is better with you. Happy birthday, best friend. I love you.”
Just before Colton’s season was Arie’s season. Although the Dutch-American racecar driver made himself pretty unpopular in the end by inviting his original winner, Becca Kufrin, on a vacation with him, only to break up with her on TV, Arie’s actual winner, Lauren, seems to have made him much happier, and is just as happy as he is. Since the end of Arie’s season, the couple have gotten married and welcomed a baby girl, Alessi Ren, into their unconventional family.
This couple got engaged on Sean’s season of The Bachelor, and even got married on live TV in January of 2014. The couple are still going strong, with three children, two sons, Samuel Thomas Lowe, Isaiah Hendrix Lowe, and a daughter, Mia Mejia Lowe. When asked about the secret to their successful relationship, Sean answered, “In my opinion, I think that I found someone who, one, she just genuinely loved me with everything that she had but two, we both committed.”
Of all the Bachelor couples, Jason and Molly win the prize for longest relationship– they’ve been married for 10 years now. They may have gotten off to a rocky start, with Jason actually breaking up with his original “winner,” Melissa Rycroft on live TV, but when he ended up choosing Molly, he did the best thing for the two of them. The couple were even married on TV in 2010 and have started a family together. They co-parent Jason’s son, Ty, and have a daughter together, named Riley Ann.
