The team behind the Bachelor franchise has expanded more than ever, with an absolutely full roster of spinoffs. Not only do we have our favorite shows, The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, and Bachelor in Paradise, but the franchise has added two brand-new spinoffs, The Bachelor Presents: Listen to You Heart and The Bachelor: Summer Games. We've even seen advertisements for a senior-focused series. With an expansion at this rate, the franchise seemed unstoppable. However, with the outbreak of Coronavirus, some shows will be affected, and maybe even canceled.

In past seasons, The Bachelor and The Bachelorette have pulled out all the stops when it came to traveling. From jet-setting all over the world, to booking a fantasy suite inside of a windmill, the franchise's main series did not hold back. This season alone, Peter and his girlfriends have traveled internationally to Costa Rica, Chile, Peru, and Australia. However, because of the outbreak of the virus, international travel is not completely safe at the moment. Clare Crawley's season of The Bachelorette will likely stay put in the US.

A Trip to Italy Was Planned

According to Variety, Clare was scheduled to travel to Italy with her final four contestants. However, Italy, unfortunately, has the highest number of COVID-19 (the disease that the coronavirus causes) cases in Italy, with over 300 lives already having been lost to the disease. While Italy has been ruled out, international travel as a whole has not been, although escalating fears and the rapid spread of the virus have made international travel highly unlikely. Production is still going as planned, but planning for the future has proven difficult.

The _Summer Games_ May Not Happen

The Bachelor: Summer Games is a competition show intended to serve as a companion to the summer Olympics, but featuring stars from Bachelor Nation. You may remember The Bachelor: Winter Games from a few years back-- this show is intended to be very similar. However, filming for the show is very much up-in-the-air. According to Rob Miller, ABC's vice president of alternative programming, "Well, it is an issue, certainly, because this is a show that has an international cast, too. So it's definitely — these are things that are being talked about, I will say. So let's hope Bachelor Summer Games happens."

What About _Paradise_?

It looks like Bachelor in Paradise is definitely happening: It has been renewed for the next season by ABC, but the location is unclear. Normally, the show is filmed in Mexico, but considering that at least one trip for The Bachelorette has been canceled, producers may have to choose an American location to serve as "paradise". It doesn't look like Mexico has been fully ruled out, though. The country has a few confirmed cases of the infection, but filming could still be a ways away, and it might be smart to wait and see what happens.
