Ever since the first episode of The Bachelor season 24, fans have had some comments about the way Peter Weber addresses issues within the house.
Some have even said that he’s rewarded drama along the way. This is especially true with Victoria F., he kept her far longer than he should of with all the drama that she caused.
He sent home nice girls like Kelsey and Kelley to keep Victoria F. around, a decision that made sense to absolutely no one. .
Harrison recently appeared on Roses & Rose with Entertainment Tonight‘s Lauren Zima, who he’s also dating.
“I can see how it would be misleading to the women. When a guy looks you in the eyes and says, ‘You’re perfect, you don’t have anything to worry about, I love you, I want to spend the rest of my life with you, there’s nothing wrong with you, you’re the most perfect human being. You’re a unicorn’… I can see where that would be misleading!”
Like Harrison said, Weber spent a lot of the season telling each and every girl that they had nothing to worry about, nothing to change, and that they were perfect.
Usually after one of these conversations, the girl would be sent home. This is true with Kelsey, who he sent home after the hometown dates. He constantly, throughout the season, told Kelsey that she had nothing to worry about, and that he could see a future with her. However, that ended up not being true in the end.
“But I really, truly know that he felt that and believed it in the moment,” Harrison told Zima. “And as a hard time as we gave Ben Higgins for saying I love you to two women, that really pales in comparison to what Peter says.”
Peter has confessed his love to many of the contestants, but by the end of the season, he’s announced that he’s in love with all three of the final women. However, that’s shortly before he decides to send Victoria F. home.
“I know it sounds crazy but it absolutely can happen on our show. It’s an extraordinary situation where you can compartmentalize these relationships. I know it’s bizarre, because none of us have this in our real lives – you shouldn’t – it’s real, it can happen. I see it all the time,” Harrison explained.
Harrison went on to say that,
“I know we’ve given him a hard time, but those rose ceremonies, those decisions, were tough. So, when we got to the end, I knew this was going to be difficult. He’s so emotional, and not only does he not want to hurt anybody — which is a normal human condition — but he wanted to make the right decision and he was really struggling, because as you can tell, he really was falling for three women.”
We can’t wait to see what ends up happening on Weber’s Bachelor finale, on Monday and Tuesday night.
