It wasn't too long ago that actress and activist Jane Fonda wore her infamous red coat to the Oscars, off the shoulder of a ruby red beaded Elie Saab gown. The gown itself was a small protest for climate change, Fonda deciding to recycle her past red carpet looks instead of buying and wasting more fabric.

Although Fonda is in the middle of filming the final season of "Grace and Frankie", it's not stopping her from sharing Fire Drill Fridays in Los Angeles.

Usually, Fonda's Fire Drill Fridays are held in Washington D.C., and in that tradition has gotten arrested every time. However, to avoid community service sentence, Fonda and her lawyer made a deal with the DC judge that has to avoid arrest for another three months.

Fonda's been trying to send the same message over and over at these rallies, "Our house is on fire!" She and fellow activists' goals are focused on climate change legislation which is sorely missing in the current White House administration.

However, Fonda organized another rally on Friday in Los Angeles's Harbor Area in San Pedro, tempting local police and authorities. Luckily, Fonda avoided arrest and continued peacefully protesting for climate change with other fans and activists.

Fonda changed locations but wore the signature coat as her crowd protested the fossil fuel industry. Although Fonda is avoiding arrest for three months, she plans to get arrested as soon as the timeline finishes up. For now, Los Angeles is mostly friendly to protestors from Hollywood.

Endorse Sanders

At Friday's rally, Fonda endorsed Bernie Sanders, who she says is the only democrat for climate change, therefore the person who should be president. Prior, Fonda had vyed for Elizabeth Warren to duke it out, but she has since dropped out of the 2020 presidential race.

This is a huge endorsement considering Sanders needs all the help he can get from Warren supporters. With the numbers between Biden and Sanders being close, anything is possible, but if Biden won, climate change would not be his main priority.

Celebrities Get Arrested

Fire Drill Fridays resuming in DC mean more stars and friends will come out to support Fonda and most likely get arrested alongside her. Big names like Ted Danson, Manny Jacinto, and Joaquin Phoenix have joined her out on the protest fronts, advocating for climate change.

Her LA protests brought out co-star Sam Waterson, Rosanna Arquette, Diane Lane, Lana Parilla, and another fellow co-star Lily Tomlin. Nobody got arrested this time, which is a great plus, and they'll continue their efforts again soon.
