Whitney Port has sparked concern over her weight. The reality star and fashion designer was photographed this week as she soaked up the sun in Mexico – images obtained by The Daily Mail did, however, show the 35-year-old’s incredibly slender frame.
Comments regarding Whitney’s weight – and suggestions that she might be under the grip of anorexia nervosa – were left to both the newspaper’s images and the star’s own Instagram. It’s been ten years since Whitney opened up about limiting herself to just 1,000 calories per day. The fears for “The Hills” star are fresh, though.

If you clicked on the above link, you’ll have seen Whtiney appearing quite possibly thinner-looking than in the above photo, although as ever, it’s always in the angle. The newspaper’s photos showed the star looking happy as she showed off her super-slim bikini body in the luxurious Las Ventanas al Paraiso in Mexico – Whitney was with husband Tim Rosenman.
Whitney was snapped in a teeny tiny olive green bikini with hoop details at the bust and waist. Photos of the entrepreneur from behind, in particular, showed off her slender frame.
Viewers to The Daily Mail’s report seemed taken aback – the newspaper has handy green arrows to upvote comments, with red ones for downvotes.
Racking up over 600 upvotes in five hours was a comment that read:
“Very ill.”
“She REALLY does not look healthy. Why is she not being helped?” another user wrote.
“WAY TOO SKINNY. UNHEALTHY LOOKING” was another comment.
“Malnutrition is very obvious?” a fourth added, with one user writing: “You can be skinny and look healthy, she does not because she has taken it that step further to starvation. And I know from personal experience.”
A video of Whitney in selfie mode and wearing a bikini top and pants was shared to her Instagram on Thursday. While the star looked happy, some of her followers expressed concern.
“She has anorexia and need help. Horrible,” one user bluntly wrote.
“You looked happy and joyous and sure of you. Not to say you don’t look incredible now. You just look runway thin nowadays, when you dont need to be, you’re beautiful,” another said.
Elsewhere, however, Whitney was thrown the thumbs-up over her post-baby body – she welcomed her first baby in 2017.
“Dang girl!!! You have an amazing body, keep being amazing!!!!” a fan told her.
Back in 2010, when Whitney was 25, she opened up about how being in Hollywood had affected her body image.
“Working in Hollywood, there’s just a constant pressure to look your best,” the star stated.
“I’ve monitored what I’ve put in my mouth. Eating 1,000 calories a day is as bad as its ever gotten, which isn’t healthy,” she admitted.
Whitney isn’t alone when it comes to celebrity admissions of calorie restriction. Singer Carrie Underwood recently revealed that she starved herself during her 2005 win on “American Idol,” dropping to just 800 calories per day.
