Maria Shriver is showing her full support for her son-in-law!
Earlier this month, Chris Pratt, 42, came under fire for his latest Instagram post, which he penned for his wife Katherine Schwarzenegger, 31.

"Guys. For real. Look how she’s looking at me! I mean. Find you somebody that looks at you like that!! You know!?" the "Guardians of the Galaxy" star wrote.
He also shared where they met, and that the author gave him "an amazing life," as well as "a gorgeous healthy daughter," referring to their 1-year-old child, Lyla Maria.
Hate Comments
Followers were quick to point out that Pratt used the word "healthy," and that it seemed like it was a jab to his ex-wife Anna Faris, 44, and their 9-year-old son Jack. The little boy was born premature -- two months before the due date. As a result, he suffered from a cerebral hemorrhage.
"WOW! Forgot your boy already," a user commented.
"Healthy child just seems like throwing shade at the other child that isn’t mentioned," added another one.
"Great, but besides your rookie card you do have another child," quipped a third commenter.
Mother-In-Law Reacts
Seeing all the hate, the journalist and ex-wife of Arnold Schwarzenegger, 66, decided to comment on Pratt's post writing, "i want to remind you today what a good man you are what a great father you are to jack and lyla what a great husband you are to katherine what a great son in law you are to me and what a great sense of humor you have !!"
She continued by telling her son- in law to "keep being your wonderful self" and to "rise above the noise."
Shriver concluded her message by telling Pratt, "i’m proud of you."
Some Instagrammers were not pleased with Shriver's comment.
"@mariashriver just as your ex husband, wonderful and great! The “healthy” par was truly not necessary, yet you wouldn’t understand," one replied to her note.
"@mariashriver WOW. You actually remembered to add Jack in this conversation. I'm shocked," added another.
Feeling Bad
Pratt, meanwhile, shared a video to his Instagram Stories two days after he uploaded the post on his account, telling fans how "upset and depressed" he felt about the situation.
“Good morning everybody, I went to bed last night really kind of upset and depressed, and I woke up feeling crappy,” he said. “I didn’t want to work out but I knew that if I put on my Christian music playlist and got out in the woods and ran that I’d feel better.”
Life With A Preemie
In a report by The Blast, Faris opened up about her experience and fears with a premature baby in her memoir, "Unqualified" in 2017.
"The pediatric neurosurgeon sat Chris and me down to tell us that Jack had some severe brain bleeding and there was a chance that he could be developmentally disabled," the "Scary Movie" actress said in a past interview.
The former couple had to wait over a year to know about their son's prognosis. Luckily, the cerebral hemorrhage did not cause major permanent damage to Jack, apart from some vision problems and muscle issues in his legs.
