Women especially will be glad to know that they aren't the only one's who have suffered the silent disease of Endometriosis. Even with all the money and fame in the world, female celebrities invincible against the disease. Many have the vaginal condition and some don't even know that they have it. Here are several female celebs that opened up about their struggles with Endometriosis.

Halsey Has Been Outspoken About The Diease

It's important to discuss topics that don't often get talked about aloud. Endometriosis doesn't get discussed enough at banquets or events. Superstar Halsey revealed via Instagram that she has had a total of 13 surgeries to treat her Endometriosis, that have yielded successful results. The You Should Be Sad singer recently was told by doctor that one day she'd be a mother. Halsey's willingness to speak about the disease led her to win the the Blossom Award at the Endometriosis Foundation of America at the 9th Annual Blossom Ball back in 2018. Halsey is a real trooper.

Sarah Hyland's Frustration With Doctors Belittling Her

There's nothing more frustrating than being told by doctors that the pain is our frame of mind. Sarah Hyland from Modern Family certainly disliked being dismissed by doctors who believed that her Endometriosis wasn't something to cry over. The star recounted the time a doctor told her she was being "very dramatic". Hyland has had the condition since she turned 28 and in total, has had 16 surgeries for other medical conditions as well. Hyland spoke out against the sexiest attitudes doctors have towards female patients who suffer from the disease. Those doctors didn't what they were talking about.

Daisy Ridley even discussed the debilitating nature of having Endometriosis as well. The Ophelia star was completely overwhelmed by the excessive fame that came along with starring in the Star Wars movie franchise, putting her under tons of stress. Endometriosis has been known to flare up during highly stressful situations and for Ridley, the experience was a nightmare. The actress expressed "having to deal with excruciating pain and extremely bad acne." Ridley even posted about her experience via Instagram and imparted a bit of advice to fans about getting treated early on. Fortunately she received the treatment she needed.

Alexa Chung received treatment for her Endometriosis as well, though her first initial thought when hearing the diagnosis back in 2019 was ,"I don’t want to belong to any club that would accept me as a member, but here I am," which she captioned on her instagram page. The writer and fashion designer has become an advocate about the diease and recently posted a message to her fans on IG about Endometriosis Awareness Month. Chung understands the pain of those who have the diease and knows that it sucks big time.

Lena Dunham Makes A Very Loud Feminist Statement About Endometriosis

While female celebs have revealed their personal hardships with battling Endometriosis, actress Lena Dunham turned the disease into a feminist statement. The late Girls actress has been very outspoken about her personal struggles with Endometriosis. Her most ambitious effort can be viewed on her Instagram page where the actress poses nude with a rather feminist tribute to having Endometriosis. "I've never celebrated the 9 month anniversary of anything . . . My body is mostly healed and every day I find a new bruise on my heart, but today I offer myself gratitude." The IG story shows Dunham's true act of bravery, accepting her condition and wearing it like an armor.
