Actress and singer Ariana Grande was given a role in “Don’t Look Up” by director Adam McKay.

However, Grande insisted on auditioning – she wanted to earn her role.

Jennifer Lawrence, Leonardo DiCaprio, Cate Blanchett, and Meryl Streep are also in the film.

Grande was excited to be part of the movie – she’s a comedy fan and appreciated McKay’s work.

McKay has also been a part of “Anchorman,” “Talladega Nights,” and “Step Brothers.”

Ariana Grande will play the role of Riley Bina, a popstar dating DJ Chello, played by Kid Cudi in the movie.

Grande hopes to earn more acting credits in the future, as well.

“The Voice” judge also notes that she enjoys all the coaches she works with on the show, along with the contestants.

Grande hopes to collaborate with her co-judge Blake Shelton and sing a duet with him on one of his songs.
