Katy Perry is teasing her latest music video, but that may not be the only thing she’s about to reveal. “You are cordially invited to the premiere of #NeverWornWhite,” Perry wrote on her Twitter feed. “Join me on the YouTube Watch Page…and chat with me (promise not a bot!) before the video premiere.”
In the teaser for the video, Perry appears to be rocking a baby bump, so it’s easy to guess what many of the questions in the chat will be.
The teaser for the video only offers a glimpse at three shots from the video. The first is of the singer looking up in a white dress, the second is of her covered in flowers, and the third is her cradling what seems to be a rather pronounced baby bump. It’s possible that she just revealed that she and fiance Orlando Bloom are expecting a child, but that’s not likely. After all, this is Katy Perry we’re talking about here.
Perry has been known to take things to extremes, especially in her music videos. Cradling a fake baby bump would certainly be a good way to drum up publicity for the new song as well.
Of course, it Perry were actually pregnant, she would be exactly the type of performer who would announce that news via a music video. The shots in the video definitely had fans asking whether the singer was pregnant, which may have been exactly what she was hoping for.
The last time Perry was photographed publicly was just a few weeks ago, on Valentine’s Day. Based on the photos from that night, it doesn’t seem like Perry is as pregnant as she looks in the video.
The signer wore a brown fur coat with black stripes that covered her frame as she exited a restaurant in West Hollywood. The song itself does not appear to be about pregnancy. Instead, it seems the lyrics focus more on Katy’s hesitance about her impending marriage.
Perry was been married once before to Russell Brand, but the song seems to suggest that although she’s been married before, this relationship is not the same as her time with Brand.
“But I’m scared /’Cause I’ve never worn white / But I wanna get it right / Yeah, I really wanna try with you/ No, I’ve never worn white /But I’m still in here tonight /’Cause I really wanna say ‘I do,'” the lyrics say. Whether she’s pregnant or not, children may be in her future.
