Former “Real Housewives of New York” cast member, Jules Wainstein is in some serious drama with her estranged husband Michael Wainstein. The mom of two was arrested back in February for allegedly attacking her husband’s car with a bad and punching him in the face. This all supposedly went down in front of her daughter. This incident took place when Michael arrived to pick the children for his usual custody agreement. Jules was arrested and booked into a Palm Beach detention center.
Jules court date for the incident is scheduled for March 16 but, now, it looks like her estranged husband is trying to tack on a few requirements while he can. Michael wants to prove that his wife has a substance abuse issue. shortly after Jules was arrested Michael ran to civil court to ask a judge for a restraining order against his wife. He also threw in that he wants her to get tested and treated for what he is describing as a serious substance abuse issue.
Michael laid out a few reasons why his wife should be required to take a drug test and one of them is because he feels like she is a danger to their children. Michael has even gone on record stating that one of his children confided in him about mommy’s drug use. He did not specify I it was his daughter or his son, but he did say that they saw their mom taking pills just before that rage-fueled attack took place on him.
Jules was booked for battery for that incident, so this accusation is just adding fuel to the fire. Michael is now getting candid about his wife’s past problems with improper use of pills. He even went as far as to name a few of the pills he believes she is popping, one of them was Adderall. Michael is now asking that Jules be forced to provide a hair sample for a drug test. The hair follicle will be the most accurate test to prove if there are drugs in her system
Michael says if there are, he will be requesting their divorce proceedings that Jules enter a mandatory drug rehabilitation program. This case is now tied to the couple’s divorce which is actually filed in New York but due to fear and getting attacked, Michael urgently filed his restraining order in Florida. A permanent decision will be made about the restraining order and the domestic violence charge later this month, but Michael is pushing for a decision on the restraining order as soon as possible.
