Being put on the spot can ruin anyone's reputation. Fortunately Harry Styles views Taylor Swift's songs about him as an opportunity rather than a disadvantage. The 26 year-old isn't holding any grudges against The Man singer and her catchy-songs about their past relationship. It didn't work out, so what? Not all relationships are meant to last. Nonetheless, Harry Styles was actually flattered by the gesture. He can't exactly hate on her artistry, especially since he writes about his past relationships as well!

Styles loves the fact that Taylor Swift spent enough time writing a series of songs about him. It seems like Swift's intention to drag his name through the dirt backfired. The pop singer's songs Out of the Woods and Style were all believed to be about One Directions's Harry Styles. Styles told Howard Stern on SiriusXM that he found the gesture flattering, even if it wasn't. "Even if the song isn’t that flattering, you still spend time on it, and ultimately, using Taylor as an example, she’s a great songwriter." Looks like Styles has nothing but praise for Swift, though it comes off as back-handed compliment.

Styles obviously doesn't hate Swift for writing songs about him. He's actually written a fair amount of songs about his ex lovers, too. It should come to no surprise, given the singer's rep as a lady's man. With the release of his new Fine Line album, though, fans are left scratching their head at the singer's immediate vulnerability that is felt through many of the tracks, especially Falling and Cherry. It's very out-of-character for Styles to expose his personal life, as he's never done before. Both songs reference his breakup with Victoria Secret Model Camila Rowe. Harry Styles is well-known for being elusive but even he sometimes feels heartbreak.

Styles can relate wholeheartedly to Taylor Swift using her exes as inspiration to write new material. Notice how the Adore You singer also complimented Swift during a 2016 interivew with RollingStone when asked about the possibility of her writing a song about him. "I write from my experiences; everyone does that. I’m lucky if everything [we went through] helped create those songs. That’s what hits your heart." Styles even credited Swift for writing songs from the heart instead of in spite. Clearly the singer wasn't bothered by the possibility that Swift might write a song about him. It's just art.

In the same respect, Styles doesn't like moling over the negative parts of a past relationship, either. The Lights Up singer is all about "living in the moment" and marveling over the good times. In the same 2016 interview, Styles mentioned that he, "liked tipping a hat to the time together. . . .Meeting someone new, sharing those experiences, it’s the best sh*t ever. So thank you." That just further dignifies that he's a major flirt. On the other hand, that is rather big of him to maintain a great relationship with his exes.

Styles is clearly an easy-going lover with no expectations about a relationship at all. Perhaps that's what makes him so great at dating. Luckily, he still keeps in contact with his ex girlfriend Camila Rowe. She was even cool with the fact that he included her voicemail on his track Cherry. Though the charismatic singer knows how to maintain great relationships with a few of his exes, does he that mean he'll ever take the next step? During Styles interview on the Another Man with Chelsea Handler, the host popped the question, in which Harry Styles gave sheepish 'yes'. Maybe one day he'll meet Mrs. Right.
