Ariel Winter Stuns With New Red Hair From Her Bathroom

"New hair who dis" was just one of the comments to Ariel Winter's latest Instagram update. The "Modern Family" star has been making headlines galore of late for returning to her former strawberry blonde hair – for 22-year-old Ariel, though, it's "strawberry and shortcake."

Ariel updated her Instagram on Monday with a new selfie showing off her locks. While the shade appeared somewhat lighter than was seen in Ariel's prior update, it was nonetheless a giant reminder that the girl behind Alex Dunphy has marked the series' end with a statement look.

Ariel's photo showed her in selfie mode and looking fresh-faced and beautiful as she snapped herself in a luxurious-looking bathroom. The star was backed by a giant walk-in shower with check floors and wall-to-wall marbles – and yes, the fancy bathroom got mentioned in the comments.

Ariel was smiling for the camera, also seen using her right hand to hold up her hair which was worn down, parted in the middle, and slicked back with some metallic clasps. The star also wore a simple t-shirt in multi-tonal blues.

Comments to Ariel's post came in quickly – likes the same, with the update clocking over 28,000 of them in just 30 minutes.

"Are you a blonde now?" a popular comment read.

"You are unrecognizable with the hair color! So far, I find that brown hair makes your features stand out more, though...," another fan said.

"New hair looks great," a third added.

The majority of comments went straight for the hair, although a fair few fans did comment on the sweet-looking bathroom.

"That shower is the size of my house," one fan said.

Ariel made headlines for dying her hair red in the summer of 2019. The event proved high-profile enough for Ariel to land herself a feature with Allure, where she fully admitted to not recognizing herself after going red.

“I’ve never dyed my hair platinum-white yet. Dyeing it this color was something I was really excited to do. At first, I was nervous," Ariel told the magazine, also, adding:

"But the day after I dyed it, I felt like a different person. I walked past my bathroom mirror and was like, ‘Oh my god! Who’s in my bathroom?’ And it was literally me. But I love it. It’s my favorite style I’ve done so far.”

Ariel has been marking the end of the ABC sitcom she grew up on. After 11 years on-screen, Ariel has been saying goodbye to her trailer, with the show's other faces likewise documenting the big end. Sofia Vergara burst into tears as she hung out with the crew, with co-star Sarah Hyland also taking to Instagram to share photos of the wrap-up party.

Sarah's photos included Ariel, plus co-star Nolan Gould, although the snaps of Ariel's see-through and underwear-style dress did see the actress both slammed and, eventually, defended by 29-year-old Hyland.
