Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has found himself in hot water for some comments he made after testing positive for COVID-19. He was roasted by Jimmy Kimmel for being unvaccinated despite the fact that Rodgers had previously said that he was “immunized.”
Sources later revealed that Rodgers has been taking Ivermectin and received monoclonal antibodies under the advice of Joe Rogan.
“Look, I’m not, you know, some sort of anti-vax flat-earther. I am somebody who is a critical thinker,” Rodgers said.
He added, “I believe strongly in bodily autonomy and ability to make choices for your body: Not have to acquiesce to some woke culture or crazed group of individuals who say you have to do something. Health is not a one-size-fits-all for everybody.”
Aaron Rodgers Almost Became ‘Jeopardy!’ Host
Rodgers was well-received during his two-week audition to take over the role of “Jeopardy!” host after late host Alex Trebek passed away after a long struggle with pancreatic cancer in November 2020.
After winning the “Celebrity Jeopardy!” tournament in 2015, Rodgers appeared to take his role seriously in his attempt to make the late Trebek proud.
After saying he “watched hours and hours and hours of episodes,” Rodgers explained, “I took pages and pages and pages of notes. I wrote down every affirmative that he said to any type of clue. I wrote down how he would respond if they didn’t get it right. I wrote down beat points of the show. I wrote down all the different ways he would take it to break. I wrote down the stuff that he said coming out of break. Literally, I studied for this like no other. I wanted to absolutely just crush it.”
All of his hard work seemed to pay off because he received a lot of positive feedback from “Jeopardy!” fans.
“Make Aaron Rodgers the permanent host!” one fan tweeted. “He was perfect.”
Another fan wrote, “After football he’s hired!!! Great job Aaron.”

Although his guest host audition was well-received, his recent comments have made fans glad that Rodgers was passed over for the role, which went to executive producer Mike Richards. Richards, however, stepped down from his hosting duties and was fired as executive producer from “Jeopardy!” and “Wheel of Fortune” after inappropriate comments he made about women and minorities were brought to light.
“Call Me Kat” actress Mayim Bialik has since stepped up to take over hosting duties, even though she was originally planned to only host special tournaments due to her demanding acting schedule. Now it seems she might have fallen in love with the hosting job as it seems she is trying to do everything she can to take on the role full-time – even bringing the crew cupcakes!
The neuroscientist has also clarified her own stance on vaccines. In her 2012 parenting guide, “Beyond The Sling,” Bialik revealed that she had made the choice not to vaccinate her children. She seems to have reversed her position on vaccines, however, as a spokesperson confirmed that she is vaccinated for COVID-19 and that she is “not at all an anti-vaxxer.”

Many fans took to Twitter to express relief that Rodgers was not selected as “Jeopardy!” host in light of the recent controversy.
“Blood pressure lowered from just imagining the relief the ‘Jeopardy!’ people have to feel at not having hired Aaron Rodgers,” one fan tweeted.
“I’ll take homeopathic covid cures that contributed to my death for $800 Mayim,” another wrote.
“Aaron Rodgers didn’t get the Jeopardy gig but still managed to become a host,” another joked.
“JEOPARDY CONTESTANT: ill take Vaccines for $2000, aaron RODGERS: i wont,” a fan wrote.
Another couldn’t help but add, “Aaron Rodgers reputation is…in jeopardy.”
Although “Jeopardy!” has started to recover from its recent scandal, it remains to be seen if the same can be said for Rodgers’ reputation.
