Sunday's 'The Simpsons' Episode is Set to Feature a Special Marvel Cameo

After over 30 years on television, The Simpsons is still holding strong. Now it would appear that the long lasting animated show is set to feature an exciting cameo in one of its upcoming episodes.

This time around, The Simpsons is gearing up to wow fans with a special cameo from one of the top members of Marvel Studios. The episode is set to air this Sunday, March 1.

The cameo will likely play a major role within the episode, as The Simpsons often spends little time pulling punches with their guest stars.

The Simpsons has a history of featuring prominent popular culture icons within their episodes. Through the years, the show has featured everyone from 30 Rock's Tracy Morgan to The Beatles drummer Ringo Starr.

The Simpsons first aired in 1989. Having cultivated a total 30 seasons worth of content, The Simpsons holds the record for being the longest-running American scripted primetime television series.

The Simpsons showrunner Matt Groening would go on to develop the also highly popular animated series Futurama and Netflix's original animated series Disenchantment.

Now it would appear that Groening is looking to set this weekend's new The Simpsons episode apart by featuring a Marvel Studio icon.

Marvel Studios has taken over the theater. With 23 films having been produced within the past 12 years, the movie making giant has sparked a renaissance within the superhero movie genre.

All 23 of the studio's recent films are contained within the same cinematic universe, as tied together within the Marvel Avengers trilogy. With many of Marvel Studio's movies having busted box office records, the company has quickly become one of the most succesful of its kind within the film industry.

Now Marvel Studios is set to break new ground within popular culture.

As reported by Variety, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige is now set to be featured on Sunday's edition of The Simpsons. The episode will largely parody Marvel Studios' Avengers movies.

The Simpsons will be airing the new episode on Sunday, March 1. Titled "Bart the Bad Guy," fans can catch the new episode on Fox.

Kevin Feige will reportedly be playing the role of Chinnos, a parody version of the Avenger's Thanos.

While Feige will be playing a parody of Thanos, the Marvel Studio president does not appear to be the villain for the episode. Bart Simpson, on the other hand, appears to be up to no good.

After having seen a superhero movie before it was released, Bart Simpson uses his inside knowledge to become a villain in his own right. Named Spoiler Boy, Bart Simpson quickly gains the attention of the movies executives. Played by Avengers: Endgame directors Joe and Anthony Russo, the two executives try to make short work of the Simpson son.
