Jimmy Kimmel Gives Aaron Rodgers Snarky Nickname After Testing Positive For COVID-19

Jimmy Kimmel has just equated Aaron Rodgers to a “Karen.”

The year of the “Karen” lives on and is in full force in 2021. The term “Karen” blew up in 2020 after mask and stay-at-home mandates were implemented.

Often times you’ll hear the term used as follows: “Don’t be a Karen,” or “You’re being such a Karen.”

According to Urban Dictionary, a “Karen” is defined as a “Middle aged woman, typically blonde, makes solutions to others' problems an inconvenience to her although she isn't even remotely affected."

Alright, now that you understand what a “Karen” is, because you’ll need it to understand the context of this story, let’s move on to Kimmel’s epic burn to Rodgers.

Earlier this week, The Blast filled you in on the Green Bay Packers QB testing positive for COVID-19. This means he will not be allowed to play this weekend’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

The NFL requires any player who has tested positive for COVID-19 to quarantine for 10 days.

On Wednesday, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported that the star quarterback tested positive.

Back in August he was asked by reporters if he was vaccinated and he responded, “I’ve been immunized.”

He continued, “There's guys on the team that haven't been vaccinated. I think it's a personal decision, I'm not gonna judge those guys.”

But in an interesting turn of events, NFL Network reporter, Ian Rapoport, said the baller was in fact NOT vaccinated.

Rapoport tweeted on Wednesday, November 3, “#Packers QB Aaron Rodgers. Is unvaccinated, per me and @MikeGarafolo. That’s why he’s out for Sunday vs. the #Chiefs.”

On Thursday, November 4, Kimmel took the time to lay in to the NFL player.

“No one seems to know that he wasn’t vaccinated. He hasn’t been wearing a mask even where it’s required and at one point he claimed he was immunized, but looking back when he said it, it should’ve been obvious he was not,” the show host said.

Kimmel continued, “We now know he is not vaccinated, because unvaccinated players who test positive have to isolate for 10 days. Had he been vaccinated he would have had a chance to play this weekend. Aaron Rodgers reportedly received a homeopathic treatment over the summer instead of the vaccine.”

Homeopathy is defined as “a medical system based on the belief that the body can cure itself. Those who practice it use tiny amounts of natural substances, like plants and minerals. They believe these stimulate the healing process.”

The late-night host continued his roast of the footballer saying, “Aaron is a Karen. That’s the fact of the matter.”

He went on to say that being unvaccinated while in close proximity with people who think you’re vaccinated is the “COVID equivalent of the condom fell off.”
