Carrie Underwood had fans floored on Friday, taking to Instagram in workout mode as she promoted the #fit52 hashtag that accompanies her upcoming book: “Find Your Path.” Subtitled “Honor Your Body, Fuel Your Soul, and Get Strong with the fit52 Life,” the book is also set to come complete with an app.
Carrie, 36, is somewhat of a fitness icon as her post-baby body continues to make headlines. The “Cry Pretty” singer is also CEO of her popular Calia by Carrie athleisurewear line – the brand got tagged in the photo posted today.
Carrie’s photo showed her seated on a stone floor and stretching out her hamstring. The “American Idol” winner had her right leg out in front of her, carefully stretching it as she used both hands to clasp her foot. The blonde didn’t face the camera, but her gym-honed body was on show.
Carrie had picked a gorgeous, powder-blue workout ensemble, seen rocking a tight pair of yoga pants rising just above the ankle, plus a matching tank. The latter flaunted the mom of two’s super-strong and muscular shoulders, with those world-famous legs also visible via the clingy fabrics.
Carrie posed for her photo appearing deeply concentrated on her workout, with the camera just about catching her closed eyes. She wore her bombshell blonde hair up in a simply pontyail, also wearing a white pair of sneakers and a wristwatch.
“Stretching my limits…,” she wrote, also adding “#fit52.”
Fan replies quickly came in, with the post itself clocking over 22,000 likes in one hour.
“Inspiring folks on a whole other level,” one wrote, with another asking: HOW R U SO BEAUTIFUL?”
“So beautiful!” was another comment, with another fan asking Carrie what her “secret” to losing weight is.
Carrie has just spoken out about her fitness. February 25 brought a profile from In Style as it interviewed the singer.
“I have to switch up my workout routine often or else I get really bored, so I base it around what I naturally feel like doing during that time of year. In the winter, when I just want to cozy up inside and eat carbs, I do mainly indoor exercises like weight lifting,” Carrie said.
“Then, when the weather turns warm and I’m more motivated to get outside and be active, I shift to cardio. My philosophy is to build muscle while you’re covered up in the cold months so you can show it off once spring arrives,” she added.
Carrie’s fit52 app will launch on March 2, one day before her book drops. The app was co-designed by Carrie and long-time personal trainer, Evie Overland – Evie frequently accompanies Carrie on tour.
A press release for the app stated:
“Each card also has a video to demonstrate the specific exercise and the card value equates to the number of reps to perform. There are thousands of workout combinations to challenge you.”
Carrie’s rock-hard legs are a frequent headline-maker. Likewise, her balanced approach to wellness as she juggles motherhood and her career. Carrie is a mom to 5-year-old son Isaiah and 2019-born son Jacob.
