Teresa Giudice was seemingly caught lying about her involvement in Danielle Staub’s decision to pull Margaret Josephs’ hair from behind during an episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey earlier this month. But was she truly egging Staub on prior to the attack?
“She never thought it would turn into what it did,” an insider told the outlet.
According to the source, Giudice’s comments to Staub about pulling Josephs’ hair were taken the “wrong way.”
“Danielle claiming that Teresa told her to pull Margaret’s hair is the very thing that ended their friendship and Teresa feels like it all got taken the wrong way,” the source continued. “She doesn’t see them being friends ever again. She felt after the table flip and they moved past that, that they’d always be friends, but she really stands by the fact that the way Danielle is telling the story is not what happened. “
While Giudice is reportedly well-aware of the footage of her saying, “Do it, do it,” she believes that what was filmed and what actually happened is not the same thing and that there were actually two different stories taking place.
“She feels like she wasn’t even paying attention to Danielle and their conversation about hair-pulling,” the insider explained. “She honestly doesn’t even remember it happening and feels set up and upset by production over this. Teresa would never physically assault anyone.”
After watching as Giudice was seen telling Staub, “Do it, do it,” on The Real Housewives of New Jersey as Staub contemplated pulling Josephs’ hair, Josephs took to her Twitter page, where she expressed shock in the premeditated attack against her.
“Well that was crazy…. I guess it wasn’t a knee jerk reaction, it was after the fact and premeditated,” she tweeted.
After her post was shared, a number of Josephs’ fans and followers expressed shock after seeing Giudice’s comments to Staub.
In a sneak peek at the upcoming reunion special, Josephs is seen confronting Giudice about her involvement in Staub’s decision to get physical with her and accusing Giudice of encouraging their ex-co-star to act violently.
“You talked her into being violent!” Josephs screamed at her former friend.
Josephs then accused Giudice having “no remorse” for allegedly telling Staub to pull her hair.
The three-part Real Housewives of New Jersey season 10 reunion will begin airing next Wednesday evening at 8 p.m. on Bravo.
