Johnny Depp Is Granted Access To Amber Heard’s Phone Records

Johnny Depp is potentially making some significant progress in court. As he hopes to prove that his former wife Amber Heard “faked” pictures that she used to prove that he had physically assaulted her. The current legal battle that the former mister and misses are involved in centers around an article that Heard wrote for the Washington Post on physical abuse. Although Heard never used Depp’s name in the article the Pirates of the Caribbean star says the article heavily tainted his image. Ever since the first allegations from Heard against her former husband came out Depp has had to deal with the wrath of cancel culture. Captain Jack Sparrow has now taken the offensive. His legal team hopes this breakthrough win can help him prove he never physically assaulted Heard.

Heard Used The Photographs As Proof Of An Assault By Depp

Johnny Depp’s defense team really believes that if they’re able to prove that the pictures that Heard used to accuse their client of domestic abuse are fake they can turn the whole case around. At the very least they’d be able to clear Johnny’s good name somewhat. Heard claimed that in an episode of domestic abuse she had suffered two black eyes, a broken nose, and a busted lip at the hands of Depp. Meanwhile, Johnny Depp’s side has tried to prove by a number of means that the photos were fabricated. Even suggesting that a body cam on a police officer shows an un hurt Heard around the time of the alleged incident. Depp’s defense team argued,

“Ms. Heard’s counsel has repeatedly used these phony photographs at deposition,”

Johnny Depp’s Legal Team Is Confident They Even Know The App She Used To Edit The Pictures

 At this point it’s pretty clear that disproving the validity of the pictures that Amber Heard presented as evidence is the key to the whole case. On Depp’s side of things they claim they even know what app Amber Heard used to fabricate the pictures. She didn’t even use Photoshop like most of the pros in the business! The app is called Photo 3. Depp’s team also thinks that the photos were manipulated 3 years after being initially taken. This based on the fact that Heard or someone close to her would’ve had to use an updated version of the software to be able to create the desired effect. Johnny’s legal team mentioned,

“[The] preliminary investigation shows that a number of the photographs have been run through a photo editing application called Photo 3 that can easily manipulate images such as showing bruises where none actually existed,”

What’s At Stake In This New Legal Battle?

Captain Jack Sparrow is going for all of the marbles in this legal battle. Since he is arguing that Heard’s depiction of him in the public eye has caused him great financial losses Depp is looking for 50 million dollars in compensation. That’s way more than the 7 million that Heard took in the divorce settlement. The divorce settlement is actually an entire issue in itself. As Heard claimed that she donated the money, while Depp’s side has essentially proven otherwise. This issue is nowhere near done, but it seems Johnny Depp has the upper hand!
