It has been about a month and change now that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced that they were stepping down as senior members of the Royal Family. Since that moment, there have been a lot of things that have gone down that seemingly will shape the way that the couple lives and behaves in their newfound way of life.

Harry's grandmother Queen Elizabeth has up to this point shown some subtle signs that she is still the boss. This new information shows that she is not happy at all with the way that Harry and Meghan are behaving.

No Trademark of Sussex Royal

One of the first stories that broke when the couple decided that they were going to be stepping down as senior members of the royal family was that they were trying to trademark the name, Sussex Royal. Since that is the name of the Dukedom that they are presiding over.

The Queen came down hard on them and literally banned them from trademarking anything that had the word "royal" in it. So, it seems that we are not going to be getting T-shirts and merchandise with their logo on it any time soon!

The Queen Is No Longer Happy

Again, when the first information came out about the couple wanting to leave, it was said that the Queen was being supportive of their decision. Now, it seems that either the Queen changed her mind or the reports were false, to begin with. A source told Us Weekly "She's so disappointed that her own grandchild would heap so much embarrassment on the monarchy and bring all this unwanted attention on his family at the worst possible time."

The fact that the Queen blocked the trademark request is just one of the signs that things are not looking so great inside the royal household.

Anything Royal Has To Pass By The Queen

We are not sure if anyone told them or Harry thought his gran was going to give him a pass on this but in Britain, you can't register anything legally as royal without the consent of the monarch. The fact that the Queen denied their request to name their foundation the Sussex Royal foundation may have come as a surprise to the couple.

Britain is not the only country that has these types of laws. In Spain, for example, soccer clubs like Real Madrid at one point did have to obtain permission from the Spanish kings to be able to use the word "Real" which means royal.

The Timing Could Not Have Been Worse

It should come as a surprise to no one that the Royal Family is all about keeping up appearances. So, one of the things that they disliked about the move was the timing and the very public nature of the whole split. Harry reportedly has already begun charging for public appearances before he had been officially allowed to leave the family.

This is something that the royals did not take lightly as it could mean that their whole operation could come tumbling down. If a royal is able to profit from his name and position then they all should do that instead of taking money from the taxpayer. This is basically what a lot of people could think.
