If there is one thing that Anna Duggar is known for, it is her commitment to her marriage. Even after her husband, Josh Duggar, was publicly accused of child molestation and cheating, Anna stuck by him.
Today, Anna and Josh have six children. They also hold steadfastly to their religious views, which indicate that the couple must remain married regardless of what happens. The truth is that Anna might have a stronger support system if she chose to leave Josh than many people think, considering that some of her siblings have left the family’s ultra-strict ministry.
Susanna is one family member Anna might be able to rely on if she did choose to leave her husband. In fact, Susanna recently got married. Both Anna and Josh attended the nuptials.
Some people might recognize Susanna from a few episodes of 19 Kids and Counting. She appeared on the show before Anna and Josh were ever even married. She even chaperoned their dates.
Susanna was a controversial figure early on. In fact, she once lived on her own and was even engaged to somebody else for a while. Susanna also gave birth to a child while she was unmarried.
Today, Susanna is married to a man named York Bridges. It is not clear how the two met, but it seems apparent that Susanna’s relationship with York does not mirror the same type of courtship a Duggar would experience. Additionally, Susanna’s child attends public school and does not seem to have the same kind of upbringing as the Duggar children. Also of note is the fact that Susanna might even a job outside of the home. That is almost unheard of in the Duggar world.
Another of Anna’s siblings, Daniel Keller, has also stepped away from the family religion. Daniel is the oldest son in the family, and he is apparently estranged from most of the family. He has been outspoken about his feelings about Josh Duggar, and even made a social media post in which he told Anna he would take her and her children in if she wanted to leave. Once, Daniel even called Josh a “pig” and commented on one of Jessa Duggar’s Facebook posts about the situation.
The Keller family has eight children. At this point, three have seemingly left the family’s religion. The third is Rebekah Hunt, who has not been in the public eye much at all. Two of Anna’s sisters remain part of the ministry, and at least one brother is currently in a religious courtship.
It is clear that Anna has options. If she were to leave Josh, she seemingly has people she can turn to for support in the difficult days that would follow.
