The last couple of years have undoubtedly been hard on the royal family with Prince Andrew‘s affiliation with the convicted pedophile, Jeffrey Epstein, as well as, the decision by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to relinquish their roles as senior members of the family.
According to reports, though, Queen Elizabeth II has really been feeling the pressure and stress that has accompanied each of the controversies, leading sources to share that the queen is becoming quite tiresome from the ongoing drama. Recently, sources revealed just how much of a toll the controversies have had on her.
A source speaking exclusively with Us Weekly shared recently that Queen Elizabeth is really struggling with the stress Prince Andrew has caused, as well as, the ongoing controversy around the ‘Megxit’ decision. In fact, so much so, that it’s beginning to affect her overall health, physically and emotionally.
“She’s exhausted, both physically and emotionally,” the source shared. “She’s approaching her 94th birthday in April and should be at a stage in her life where she can ease up and be supported by her loved ones.” The source also revealed that the queen is becoming increasingly frustrated as things won’t seem to calm down.

“The drama’s never-ending,” the source continued. “She’s so frustrated.” The source of the queen’s latest frustration stems from the exhausting battle over whether Prince Harry and Meghan should be allowed to use the word ‘royal’ in their Sussex Royal charitable brand name.
Ultimately, the queen made the decision that the word would be banned following the couple’s departure from their senior responsibilities this spring. It was not met, however, with the respect that her decision should have been. Instead, the couple posted their own statement that contained several spiteful comments towards the decision.

In confirming that Prince Harry and Meghan would effectively have a ban on using the word ‘royal’, Buckingham Palace released a statement on February 21 detailing the decision and the timeline in which the ban would begin.
“Their non-profit organization, when it is announced this spring, will not be named Sussex Royal Foundation,” the statement read. “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex do not intend to use ‘Sussex Royal’ in any territory post spring 2020. Therefore, the trademark applications that were filed as protective measures, acting on advice from and following the same model for The Royal Foundation, have been removed.”
The rationale for the queen’s decision, and also reportedly, Prince Charles’s as well, was to protect the monarchy and royal family from any potential backlash or fallout that resulted from Prince Harry and Meghan engaging in potentially risky commercial sector opportunities. Regardless, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex released their own statement on the official website that incorporated a few jabs at the queen and royal family.
“While there is not any jurisdiction by The Monarchy or Cabinet Office over the use of the word ‘Royal’ overseas, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex do not intend to use ‘Sussex Royal’ or any iteration of the word ‘Royal’ in any territory (either within the UK or otherwise) when the transition occurs Spring 2020,” the statement said.
Meanwhile, sources are saying the queen is praying that Prince Harry will gain clarity. “She’s praying that, over time, Harry will start to see things more clearly,” they said. “Whether that will actually happen remains to be seen.
