Kaley Cuoco herself admitted that she had no idea what “splits” meant – the filming industry term, not the challenging stretching position. The “Big Bang Theory” actress first took to social media with mentions of the word late on Tuesday night at nearly 2 a.m.
Kaley, 34, had appeared on her Instagram stories looking bleary-eyed and wearing a fluffy pink garment. The tired star had revealed that as shooting for her new TV show “The Flight Attendant” continues, she’s wound up starting late (and finishing late), effectively doing what she’d learned is known as “splits.”
Kaley returned to her stories on Wednesday night, once again at a late hour. The blonde’s 1.18 a.m. story came as a selfie. Kaley wore a cream and brown striped top as she spoke into the camera, appearing to channel her sarcastic streak as she once again mentioned the “splits.”
Kaley gazed deep into the camera and spoke in a soft voice.
“Still shooting,” she said, then delivering a slow nod.
“Splits,” she added, continuing: “Not a yoga pose.”
Despite the late hour and exhaustion, Kaley looked her usual beautiful self, seen with her long blonde hair down and a little set makeup.
If you aren’t familiar with Kaley’s social media, it’s unique. The star is now a regular for her “A Cup Of Cuoco” Instagram series – the low-frills and mostly home-set videos showing Kaley enjoying her morning coffee and discussing her night’s sleep and random thoughts prove popular, with Kaley often seen in a bathrobe or nightshirt wardrobe.
Kaley’s series tends to show the early riser that she is. The star has delivered a 5.15 a.m. episode, although she did share a particularly late one recently – a Sunday lie-in saw the actress at 10.21 a.m.
A release date for “The Flight Attendant” has not yet been announced, but the plot has. Kaley will play Cassandra Bowden, a woman who wakes up in a Dubai hotel room hungover – and with a dead body next to her. The HBO Max series will see Kaley both star in and produce the series – Yes, Norman Productions is Kaley’s own production company and it’s named after her Pit Bull mix Norman.
Kaley has revealed what she’ll miss the most about playing the street-smart Penny.
“You know, she’s iconic. She’s the best character I’ve ever played. She has every single quality. She’s funny, she’s [silly and] I’m sill, she’s sarcastic. She loves Leonard and she loves these guys and she’s a real girl,” Kaley told She Knows, adding:
“You know, we’ve tackled a lot of issues this year. Her even not wanting to have kids and her wanting to be a businesswoman. I don’t think we’ve seen that a lot in television. I was really impressed that they went that path and yeah, she’s a reason why I’m doing everything that I do in the future will be sent back to Big Bang.”
