In the most recent news, Meghan’s father Thomas Markle has once again spoken out about the couple, sharing his opinion with waiting reporters as he got into his car.
Thomas has been critical of the couple in the past, most likely knowing he will probably never speak to them again, as things are past the point of no return.
In his most recent comments, Thomas criticized the couple for their treatment of the Queen.
The Sussexes recently released a statement to their website, with one of the most controversial parts being: “While there is not any jurisdiction by The Monarchy or Cabinet Office over the use of the word ‘Royal’ overseas, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex do not intend to use ‘Sussex Royal’ or any iteration of the word ‘Royal’ in any territory (either within the UK or otherwise) when the transition occurs Spring 2020.”
It came off as bitter and stubborn, giving away the fact that the Sussexes are not happy with the agreements that were made when they stepped back from royal duties.
While coming out of a shopping center in Rosarito, Mexico, Meghan’s father spoke to reporters, claiming he’s “upset” at the way the Sussexes are going about things.
He said, “I’m very upset with Meghan and Harry right now. I don’t think they have the right to use the word Royal.”
He continued, “I don’t think they have a right to speak to the Queen in the way they have spoken to her, I think it’s an insult to the Queen and to the British people.”
Clearly, still incredibly bitter about being estranged from Meghan, he said, “My daughter dumped me one day before she got married, she has dumped my family, she has dumped Doria’s family, she has dumped every family and now she is dumping the British family.”
Thomas isn’t the only one who feels this way, with many of Meghan’s friends from her past also claiming they feel they were dumped by her.
Many have claimed Meghan frequently moves on from friends and family when she feels she is done with them, often freezing out people she no longer wants in her life.
The couple have also faced intense criticism this week over their security costs and how this will affect the police.
Phil Dampier, a royal author, told Mail Online, “The cost of security was always going to be a major problem for Harry and Meghan and it doesn’t surprise me that the bill seems to be going up and up. “
If we thought the Sussex hurricane was going to slow down soon, we were clearly wrong. The storm hasn’t even made landfall yet.
