A father threw a party for his one-year-old daughter’s birthday based on Laundrie's death.

This is real life, people!

A fake skeleton was adorned with pancetta, salami and pepperoni deli meat to signify rotting skin.

Not only that, the skeleton had gummy worms coming out of the eye sockets, mouth and nose cavity, and Laundrie’s name was scribble on a blackboard cauldron.

The culprit of this sick display is a man by the name of Jack Bersh.

He posted the photo on an Aldi-themed Facebook page.

For those of you who don’t know, Aldi is a discounted supermarket chain across the world.

Bersh wrote alongside the photo, “We did this with Aldi food for my daughter’s first birthday.”

He must’ve prematurely expected some backlash, because he continued writing, “If you don’t like it that’s fine. We all thought it was funny and I would understand if I’m no longer a part of this group tomorrow morning.”

The post quickly spread to a number of Gabby Petito Facebook groups and garnered both positive and negative reactions.

One person gave him props for creativity while another slammed him for making fun of a murder and apparent suicide.

“I could understand the skeleton/Halloween theme but trying to poke fun of a situation like Gabby and Brian’s is completely unacceptable,” an enraged person wrote.

Human remains were found on the Carlton Nature Reserve in Florida on October 20 along with a backpack and notebook later identified to be Laundrie’s.

The following day, dental records confirmed the remains were Laundries.

The Blast recently reported that law enforcement officials believe the 23-year-old committed suicide.

Last Friday, Sarasota County Sheriff Kurt Hoffman said, “by all accounts [he] probably committed suicide” in the Florida nature reserve near his family’s home.

He added that his remains were found “right out there where we thought he was.

According to a report by the “Sarasota Herald-Tribune,” Sheriff Hoffman along with North Port Police Chief Todd Garrison spoke at a panel on Friday, October 29.

Brian was reported missing by his parents on September 17, just days after Gabby Petito’s family filed a “Missing Persons Report” for their daughter on September 11.

As followers of this case know, the former couple were on a cross-country National Parks road trip / tour before things turned deadly.

Sheriff Hoffman also noted that Brian “went out there and by all accounts probably committed suicide” right where he and his team thought he was.

“There was four feet of water out there at the time,” Hoffman added.

Police believe he took his own life

While Brian’s actual cause and manner of death have yet to be determined and released, a former homicide detective from Washington D.C. believes the 23-year-old took his life.

Detective Ted Williams suggests Laundrie died by his own hand, probably from a gunshot wound.

The Laundrie’s family attorney, Steven Bertolino, said the remains found on the Carlton Reserve have been sent to a forensic anthropologist for testing.
