Sister Wives patriarch Kody Brown has been in hot water with some of his wives this season. Wives Meri, Janelle, Christine, and Robyn have not taken to his idea of living under one roof, a change from the current situation in which each wife lives in her own home.
In the most recent episode of the show, Kody discussed the fact that he feels less passionate about polygamy than in the past. In fact, he wonders if polygamy is even the best choice for him and his wives at this point.
In the episode, Kody said he felt “cynical” and “jaded.” He also said that his view of plural marriage has changed, and it appears as if this shift in perspective largely occurred after he added fourth wife Robyn into the mix.
Kody was also quick to point out that he struggled to acknowledge even the positive aspects of the relationships between his wives. Seeing them have fun together reminded him of the components that were missing.
Now, Kody’s wives did not take kindly to his comments. Robyn and Christine were very quick to make statements.
Hmmmm….?
We are hitting that mid-life crisis age. Attitudes change at mid-age.#SisterWives https://t.co/xgE7CXSkj1— Kody Brown (@realkodybrown) February 17, 2020
When Kody and the rest of the Brown clan moved to Flagstaff, he had the bright idea to move everybody into one large home. Only Janelle was receptive to the idea, and the others completely rejected the idea. When the wives were deciding where they each wanted to build their individual homes on the lot the family owns, they were engaging in some playful banter and played in the snow.
Kody watched on, but he didn’t seem as thrilled as he did in earlier seasons of Sister Wives. To producers, Kody said, “I’m struggling with my wives, and I’m struggling with their conflict.”
Robyn was the first to call out Kody on social media. She posted to Twitter, “So let me get this straight . . . Kody used to like seeing us getting along but now because not all of us agreed on the one house idea he doesn’t like it? Hmmm . . . little baby brother much?” This follows Robyn discussing the fact that the playful dynamic of the group feels more like sibling rivalry when everybody gets together.
Considering the fact that so many fans have been calling Kody out for being idealistic and demanding, many thought Robyn’s joke was funny.

Christine, who often teases Kody, also hopped on board with Robyn. She called Kody a “whiny baby poopy pants.” She seemed exasperated that Kody had such a problem with his wives being playful.
Some fans thought this was funny, especially because they have seen Kody call the shots for a long time. Others thought it was harsh for the wives to pile on Kody in a time when he seems vulnerable. Some especially thought posting on social media was just a bit too much.
