Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright were seen making the decision to fire their former pastor, Ryan Dotson, from his officiating role at their June 2019 wedding during last week's episode of Vanderpump Rules and shortly thereafter, they enlisted NSYNC singer Lance Bass to marry them.

According to a report from Heavy, Bass is not only a friend of Taylor's, he's also involved in a business with him and is one of the best friends of Taylor's boss and co-star Lisa Vanderpump.

While Dotson was accused of being homophobic during last week's episode of Vanderpump Rules, he has insisted that he is not against the LGBTQ community. Still, after seeing the posts he shared on social media, Vanderpump felt it was necessary to speak with Taylor and Cartwright about their decision to have Dotson marry them and shortly after she did, they booted him from his officiant role.

Dotson was a longtime family friend of Cartwright's and someone who she always wanted to marry her.

After officiating Taylor and Cartwright's wedding, Bass disclosed some top-secret information on a podcast that he didn't realize no one knew.

“You know I’m talking about the wedding and what happened, and then there was one little nugget of a storyline that I didn’t realize probably no one knew yet,” Bass told People Now last August.

“There was a rumor that Tom [Schwartz] and Katie [Maloney] might not be married because they didn’t fill in their information right,” he explained to the outlet.
