Just as easily as it all began, it all has ended. In what was seemingly an attempt to start a Twitter war with a gigantic pop star, YouTuber Jake Paul has now taken responsibility for his recent tweet and since deleted the drunken messages. In case you missed it all, the beef started just this past weekend, when Paul sent out messages after what sounded like an altercation with formed One Direction star Zayn Malik after both men were in Las Vegas for boxing match between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder.

Very early in the morning Sunday, Paul tweeted out messages about a run-in with Malik, saying “almost had to clap up zane from 1 direction because he is a little guy and has an attitude and basically told me to fuck off for no reason when I was being nice to him….” After the tweet went out into the cosmos, Malik’s on-again girlfriend, model Gigi Hadid clapped back in a major way, saying, “Lol cause he doesn’t care to hang w you and your embarrassing crew of YouTube groupies ..? Home alone with his best friends like a respectful king cause he has me, sweetie. Unbothered by your irrelevant ugly ass. Go to bed…”

Apparently, after this whole mess went down, and after Gigi Hadid’s epic clapback, the Youtube star realized that he was in the wrong and ended up retracting his accusations and replied now saying that he was drunk. Paul went on to say, “Someone needs to take my phone when I’m drunk because I am a f–king idiot.” While it’s unsure if Paul realized his mistakes after making a mountain out of a mole hill, or deleted the tweets because the One Direction fanbase came after him, we may never know.

Jake Paul and his brother Logan are no strangers to controversy as each of them have seemingly made a career out of starting trouble. For Logan Paul, the trouble began in 2018 when the YouTube star posted a video of himself and some friends venturing into the Aokigahara Forest of Japan, also nicknamed the “suicide forest.” Logan then proceeded to post the video to which a young man’s body is seen hanging from a tree. After much criticism, Logan decided to take a break from YouTube.

Jake Paul, too, has been in the headlines more often than not, more recently for marrying fellow YouTuber Tana Mongeau in 2019. The due had a public whirlwind romance, which seemingly fizzled out just recently after admitting they are “taking a break” to focus on their own lives. While Paul seemingly took responsibility for his own drunken tweets at Malik over the weekend, one thing rings true, no matter where this YouTube star goes, headlines and drama are sure to follow.
