Earlier today, Ed Sheeran announced that he is still set to appear on “Saturday Night Live” on November 6 after recovering from a positive COVID-19 diagnosis.

Fans have even more reason to celebrate, now that “Wildest Dreams” singer Taylor Swift has been announced to perform the following week on November 13. This will be Swift’s fifth time performing on the “SNL” stage.

Fans know that 13 is Swift’s lucky number, but that’s not the only reason why the “Blank Space” singer is going to be performing: her new album “Red (Taylor’s Version)” is scheduled to be released the day before, on Friday, November 12.

This will be Swift’s second re-recorded album after “Fearless (Taylor’s Version)” was released on April 9, 2021. “Red” was originally Taylor’s fourth studio album and was released on October 22, 2012.

How Many Songs Are On ‘Red (Taylor’s Version)’?

When the first “Red” album came out in 2012, the standard edition had sixteen tracks and the deluxe edition had twenty-two tracks.

Taylor’s re-recording will have an impressive thirty songs, including two versions of “All Too Well,” with one clearly labeled as the “10 Minute Version.”

The original demo recordings of “Treacherous” and “Red” that appeared on the deluxe edition of “Red” will be missing from this new album, but Swift has added nine “from the Vault” tracks, including her single “Ronan.”

Swift originally performed Ronan at the “Stand Up to Cancer” event in September 2012. The song is dedicated to a four-year-old boy named Ronan who passed away to cancer. Swift reached out to the boy’s mother, Maya Thompson, to ask for her approval before adding the song to her newest album.

What About Ed Sheeran?

Fans are disappointed that Sheeran will be taking to the “SNL” stage a week before Swift, as the two have two collaborations on the new album together. Swift recently met up with the “Bad Habits” singer to re-record a new version of “Everything Has Changed” for the album.

Sheeran also let slip that the album will feature a new song called “Run,” which was the first song he and Swift “ever wrote together” in 2012.

As Swift wrote, “I can’t wait til we can dust off our highest hopes and relive these memories together. We’ll also be making a bunch of new ones too, since Red (Taylor’s Version) includes so many songs you haven’t heard yet. Til then, I’ll be counting down and picturing it all in my head. In burning red.”
