Jason Momoa Gives COVID Update Skateboarding While In Quarantine

Aquaman actor Jason Momoa recently shared an update on his status. The actor who really caught fire with his performance on Game of Thrones was diagnosed with COVID after attending the London premier of the highly anticipated film Dune. If you were at the premiere you way want to get yourself checked out! Momoa is looking good as he isolates to cope with the disease. Lucky for him, he's not technically fully isolated. He's at home with his pal pro skateboarder Erik Ellington. They're finding ways to pass the time while they fight off the disease. It's actually the producers on Jason's film Aquaman that are having more trouble sleeping. His absence from the set is more than likely going to delay the movie and cost the studio a couple more than what they had expected.
Jason Momoa Thinks He Contracted The Disease At The Movie Premier
At this point the idea of tracking how COVID spreads from person to person is just impossible. Tracking the disease was one of the first things that doctors tried to do to mitigate the spread. It just hasn't been overly effective. However, Momoa swears that he got the disease at the London premiere of Dune. He said that a lot of people came up to say hi during the event. That was potentially the largest gathering he'd been in for a while. Momoa told the Daily Mail,
“Yeah, I got hit with COVID right after the premiere, there’s a lot of people I met in England so, [I] got a lot of Aloha from people and who knows.”
Meanwhile, Jason Momoa Is Having Fun Under Quarantine
The virus seems to have not hit Aquaman too hard. Apart from his interview with the Daily Mail, Momoa has been sharing his day-to-day activities with fans through his IG page. He recently shared a clip of Erik Ellington skateboarding around the house. That's probably not something that he gets to do a lot of when the wife and the kids are home. Jason and Erik are taking advantage of the unfortunate circumstance to have some fun. In the process of this we can see that both men look ok. Certainly a good sign for producers on the upcoming Aquaman movie. They want Jason back on set as soon as possible.
The Aquaman Production Team Is Losing Their Mind Over Momoa's Situation
Although there hasn't been a definitive stoppage on the set of the film Aquaman it's hard to continue filming when the main character of the film is not on set. An insider told the New York Post recently that folks around the Aquaman movie are very concerned that Momoa's absence could end up costing them millions. The insider mentioned,
"It’s a real headache for the film’s bosses, who are now worrying about having to delay their tight filming schedule,”
The crew on the film gets tested regularly and must comply with local COVID protocols. Of course the production team is happy to hear that Momoa is doing well. They would probably wish though that he'd be back on set already!
