'Montero' Has Been One Of The Biggest Albums Of 2021

Nas X certaintly didn't disappoint, in the aftermath of Montero's release. Fans were treated to 15 tracks, and additional appearances from Doja Cat, Elton John, Megan Thee Stallion, and Miley Cyrus. More songs started to pick up traction, such as "That's What I Want," and "Scoop," featuring Doja.

Many expected Montero to be the number one song on the Billboard 200 chart, but Drake's "Certified Lover Boy" held that position, again. The number two debut for Montero was still very impressive, and showed that Nas X is capable of creating a myriad of hits, and isn't the one-hit wonder that many tried to paint him to be, after the massive success of his "Old Town Road" single, featuring Billy Ray Cyrus, back in 2019.

This has since drawn constant criticism from rapper Lil Boosie, who goes on homophobic rants against Nas X, with one of the latest tweets encouraging Nas X to commit suicide. That came after Nas X jokingly claimed that he has a song with Boosie. In the end though, Nas X is who he is, and doesn't roll over to pressure.
