The civil rights activist and preacher, Rev. Jesse Jackson took a nasty fall while attending a meeting with student protesters at Howard University. Jackson was taken to the university hospital after the incident. Preliminary reports indicate that the MRI came back fine. However, there’s still a genuine cause for concern over the health of the Reverend. At 80 years old, and with some pretty complicated pre-existing health conditions this is sadly the type of incident that could have disastrous consequences. That’s potentially why doctors are not taking any chances and decided to keep Jackson overnight for more tests.

The University President Provided An Update On Jackson’s Condition
“Our prayers are with the Jackson family.”
This story is on going, but the incoming news is neither clear nor extremely hopeful. It’s never a bad thing to be throwing up prayers, it can’t hurt. However, if Jackson’s condition was most likely favorable that’s what the university president should potentially lead off with. It is being mentioned that Jackson fell down just as he was entering a building that he and the university president were going to take a look at. The conditions inside the building were so bad that Jackson was unable to keep his footing? At this point it’s just speculation. The incident took place on Monday, so naturally there should be more information available at this point. The lack of information though certainly has folks uneasy. The reverend’s real condition remains pretty much a mystery at this point. Although his daughter provided some comfort saying her father is resting and doing well.
Jackson's daughter, Santita Jackson, tweeted that the civil rights campaigner is now resting and "doing well." https://t.co/Zic5NKNr8Y
