Jennifer Lopez, is a mother, an incredibly talented musician, actor, songwriter, and dancer. At the age of 50, you’d be quick to think that JLo is done adding things to her resume, but surprisingly, she’s not!
A few days after a Superbowl halftime performance that left the entire world astonished, Jennifer Lopez announced on Instagram that she would be dipping her toes into the world of fashion. She revealed that in partnership with the Camuto Group, she would be designing her shoe collection herself.
‘Jenny from the block‘ is already making good of her promise as she took to Instagram yesterday to give a sneak peek of what her fans should expect from the spring 2020 batch. Based on what we saw, the collection is indeed worth high anticipation.
The heel she posted is a unique pointed toe stiletto with glitters, and features a strap that goes round the ankle and the calf for styling and also comfort. It is somehow similar to the Florella Silhouette she had revealed earlier.
The collection will feature over ten shoe designs ranging from yesterdays pointed toe stiletto, a peep toe, and a classy nude pump. Although the collection drops on March 16, seven of the designs have already been unveiled. The remaining will soon be revealed as a way to keep the buzz and fan’s energy alive till it’s launched.
Get your money ready because, on top of the collection, JLo will also be adding five-limited edition shoe designs in honor of the launch.
With all the areas JLo could have ventured in, why fashion? To be precise, why shoes in the first place? In her own words, JLo says that with her career being so diverse, she wanted to create something that would represent every facet, and fashion was the best way to achieve this.
The hot musician further added that the detailing on the upcoming collection is a style representation of New York, LA, and Miami. The three cities she said have shaped who she is today.
A bag collection will soon follow Jennifer’s shoe capsule. The items will only be available on Designer Shoe Warehouse. Based on statements from Camuto Group and what Jennifer Lopez has in mind, there are high chances the partnership will lead to a marriage between the two brands.
Besides her collection, JLo’s future in the fashion industry seems pretty bright. As of now, the singer is already part of major spring campaigns and will be working with brands such as Versace, Coach, and Guess.
