It seems the Duggar family girls are out here stirring the pot once more. Is it really a shock though? They aren’t under the house of their father after all. First it was Jinger Duggar with how she only has one child and now it the oldest sister, Jill Duggar.
It would seem she has decided that her son needs to get a better education than the one she was given. Her son is going to be going to kindergarten in the fall.
So, why is this rocking the boat? Well the Duggar family was all homeschooled. All 19 of them. Yes, a huge number to take on to homeschool but this is how the family is run after all. But their homeschooling is a little different than the others that are out there.
Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar use what is called the ACE program or the Accelerated Christian Education. Which is fair. However, many fans have pointed out that there is very little wiggle room and it is missing key parts to it.
See, one big thing about the ACE curriculum is that boys and girls are treated vastly different. The boys are given far more leeway and girls are taught that since boys can’t control themselves it is up to them to curb their appetites. Like conservative clothing for starters.
There is another glaring argument that has fans questioning how good this method can be. This curriculum teaches girls that premarital sex will, not can, lead to cervical cancer. Yes, that it will. Somehow married women are immune to this though. We honestly don’t know how that makes sense to anyone but it is in there.
Jill and her husband Derick seem to want their children to experience something far different than what Jill grew up with. Derick was raised in the traditional school setting and wants his son to know what that is like. While Jill did all the preschool schooling it seems to be that she wants to make the change too.
This isn’t the first time she has stepped away from the family. It would seem the older girls are split as Jessa isn’t breaking too far away from the family. It is all a toss up how long this will last though.
We are excited to see how Jill’s son takes on schooling. Even more curious how Jill will handle sending her oldest kid off to school. Will she be a mother that has a child that won’t want to leave? Or will she be the mother who has her child walk off with no problem?
We are excited to see this new journey and we hope he does well in school. We are sure this won’t be the last time Jill rocks the boat but we will be waiting for more.
