Sarah Paulson Is Returning for Season 10 'American Horror Story'

Some exciting news to fans worldwide! Actress Sarah Paulson, will return for the upcoming Season 10 of American Horror Story. Paulson had taken a hiatus during the filming of Season 9, and with much dismay, upset a lot of fans of the show. At this time period, she was filming another television show with FX called, Mrs. America. Her absence was something to get used to, however, Season 9 was deemed as one of the most successful seasons in history for American Horror Story.

Making A Come Back

During the Television Critics Association press tour, Paulson told TheWrap, "I can confirm that I will be in next season." Then she continued further, "I have no idea what it will be but I'm not coming back as a guest part, I will be a central character." Season 10 will debut with 10 episodes. FX has also announced that American Horror Story has been renewed for another three upcoming seasons. Currently, Paulson doesn't know the status of her part in Seasons 11 through 13.

American Horror Story

American Horror Story (also known as AHS), is an anthology horror television series created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk. Each season is inspired by true events and consists of actors such as: Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Jessica Lange, Lily Rabe, Emma Roberts and Denis O'Hare. Special guest stars have included: Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett and Lady Gaga. The first season was titled, "Murder House" and premiered on October 5, 2011. It's about a mansion that a new family moves into. It was soon discovered to be haunted by ghosts who had died on the property.

Seasons 2 and 3

Season 2 was titled, "Asylum," and premiered on October 17, 2012. The criminally insane were barricaded inside of the asylum and tortured with demonic possession. According to reports, "Asylum" is the highest rating season of its history. Season 3 was titled, "Coven," and premiered on October 9, 2013. This season followed the descendants of witches who survived the Salem Witch Trials. According to Entertainment Weekly, Ryan Murphy's favorite season of his own show is "Murder House," which ended with 3.22 million viewers.

Sarah Paulson has been an important piece of the puzzle since the beginning of the show. Her characters are well-written and she shows her talent with grace. Throughout the years, she has been nominated for many awards for her hard work and dedication to this show. For the Critics' Choice Television Awards, she won Best Supporting Actress for American Horror Story seasons 2, "Asylum," 4, "Freak Show" and 5, "Hotel." The news of her return to season 10 has fans ecstatic as she has much love and support from them all!
