Since the end of last year, the Grammy award-winning singer, Adele, has made it a point to shed weight, not only to feel better in her skin, but also to be a more active parent for her son. Adele had previously shared that she found herself often too tired to spend quality time with her son, thus acting as the main impetus for her getting in shape.
However, friends and fans were shocked when she showed up at Diddy’s birthday party having lost 100 pounds. People at the event shared that she almost looked completely unrecognizable. And with the singer sharing that she wants to lose more weight, her friends are becoming increasingly concerned.
Slated to come out on March 2 in Ok! Magazine is a story about Adele’s weight loss journey of losing 100 pounds and how her friends are concerned that she’s taking it too far.
What’s addressed in the story is that Adele is only 5’9 and wants to get down to a weight of 115 pounds, something way below what is normal for that height. It’s unclear what she currently weighs, but it’s safe to say that she’s not far off.
Her friends are undoubtedly happy for her getting healthy, but they don’t believe those goals are particularly healthy for the singer.

Reporting on Adele attending Beyonce and Jay-Z’s Oscars-after party, a source spoke with Ok! Magazine and shared that people were completely shocked about how she looked. “From the moment she arrived, everyone was doing double takes and whispering, ‘Is that Adele?” they shared.
The source also shared Adele’s friend’s concerns. “Her target weight is 115, which is very skinny for someone who’s 5’9,” they continued. “Friends are a bit concerned that she may be taking this too far, but Adele’s assured everyone they don’t need to worry. She’s healthy and loves her new lifestyle.”
It’s worth noting that nobody is criticizing the singer for deciding to get healthy and lose weight that was undoubtedly necessary. Adele has worked very heard through determination and discipline. In December it was reported that she had been exercising regularly, training in the gym, adding pilates to her regimen, and even switching to a diet that was strictly Sirtfood. It’s also been reported that the singer is maintaining a daily caloric intake of less than 1000 calories.

It’ll be interesting to see how her friends are able to influence Adele maintaining a healthy weight and not going overboard with it. As it stands currently, she seems to be shaking off comments from others about her weight loss and carrying on with her exercise and diet routine.
As long as she remains healthy and doesn’t suffer any complications associated with her weight loss, there’s nothing to be worried about, but we’ll have to wait and see. This story is sure to develop as Adele continues to shed weight and reach her goal of weight 115 pounds.
