But would you believe that the potent flame between Ford and Flockhart is partially due to the goofy star of Sonic the Hedgehog, James Marsden? According to Showbiz Cheat Sheet, Flockhart enlisted Marsden's help in wooing Ford after she had gotten to know the 27 Dresses actor on the set of her hit TV series, Ally McBeal. “I was the harbinger of a wonderful long relationship...I take the credit for that. Really, thank God I was there," Marsden quipped during a recent appearance on James Corden's late-night show.

So what exactly did Marsden do to set these two up? Well, during the 2002 Golden Globes, Flockhart purposefully spilled her drink on Ford but made it look like an accident in order to get the chance to talk to him. Then, when her plan worked and Ford asked her out, Flockhart convinced Marsden to be the third wheel on their first date. They all went to dinner and then back to Ford's house for some cocktails. According to Marsden, he was ready to ditch the lovebirds, but Flockhart insisted he also join them for drinks.

Although he does also adds that the Han Solo actor likely hated him at the time for intruding on the date and probably doesn't even remember who the Hairspray actor anymore.
