Chrissy Teigen has never been one to shy away from expressing her opinions. Whether she gets political about her disdain for Donald Trump or calls out an online troll, Chrissy is an absolute queen when it comes to clapbacks. Of course, because Chrissy always has the perfect response, it's easy to think that she can easily laugh off all of the mom-shaming she receives on social media. As it turns out, however, the mom of two experiences mom-shaming for nearly everything she posts online -- and it definitely takes a toll.

Chrissy recently sat down for an interview with NBC, and she talked about how being trolled online takes its toll. "The comments affect me. Of course," she explained. When asked specifically about what she's shamed about, she said that it's "pretty much everything." Chrissy shares two children with her husband, John Legend. The pair first met in 2006 on the set of one of John's music videos, and they married in 2013. They welcomed their first child, daughter Luna, in 2016, and their second child, son Miles, in 2018.

While both Chrissy and John love to share adorable photos of their children on social media, Chrissy knows first-hand that it can come at a cost. She elaborated further on what she specifically gets shamed over when it comes to her kids via Perez Hilton: "Any time I post a picture of them holding ribs or eating sausage, I get a lot of criticism. Vegans and vegetarians are mad and feel that we [are] forcing meat upon them at a young age. They freak out… If they get a glimpse of the car seat there is a lot of buckle talk. Maybe for one half of a second, the strap slipped down. And TV is another big one. We have TV on a lot in my house. John and I work on television; we love watching television."

Whereas some celebrities completely ignore the trolls online, Chrissy isn't so forgiving and likes to call people out for their unnecessary shaming. However, Chrissy herself admits that it's not possible to respond to every single thing: "It’s tough sometimes. You wanna be able to say more. Sometimes I’m like, ‘I’m not in the right headspace to deal with this, I have two kids, I got other stuff going on. So sometimes I want to say something so badly but it’s not worth it to me and I need my mind to be clear."

Despite the mom-shaming that Chrissy receives anytime she posts a picture of her kids, she doesn't let the trolls keep her down for too long. And even though she certainly is affected by the hate sometimes, Chrissy can keep her head up knowing that she and John have two happy and healthy children! There will probably never be a way to fully stop the online mom-shaming, but Chrissy certainly isn't letting that slow her down. We wish nothing but the best for Chrissy and her adorable family!
