"The world just had a collective orgasm." That was Kate Hudson's reply as Jennifer Aniston took to Instagram on Friday to confirm that a "Friends" reunion is happening. Rumors of the sitcom stars reuniting for a reboot have been rife for over a year, but so far it's been nothing but talk.

There's been an update.

Earlier today, Jennifer updated her account. The 51-year-old didn't give much away, but her throwback photo from the NBC sitcom and caption made things more than clear.

Instagram? The whole platform is in total frenzy.

Jen's photo showed the entire "Friends" cast back in the day. Fans of the series will have recognized the photo from the cast's "Rolling Stone" cover. It showed the famous six in nautical or summery outfits and posing in a convertible car.

The snap showed them all. David Schwimmer appeared alongside Matthew Perry and Matt LeBlanc, with Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow also seen.

A caption from Jen confirmed a reunion, alongside tagging HBO and the Instagram handles of her former co-stars.

"It’s happening... ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ @hbomax⁣ @courteneycoxofficial⁣ @lisakudrow⁣ @mleblanc⁣ @mattyperry4⁣ @schwim," she wrote.

The snap racked up an astounding 1.7 million likes in just 30 minutes.

Instagram Literally Loses It

The post may well break the internet, although Jennifer herself managed to do this as she joined Instagram in 2019 and broke the platform's records.

"WAIT I NEED TO UNDERSTAND WHAT'S HAPPENING HERE" came from Erin Foster.

Kate Hudson's reply racked up a staggering 11,000+ likes in just 16 minutes.

"I feel like the whole world just had a collective orgasm! 💃🙌," she wrote.

Meanwhile, fans were likewise losing their minds.

"They're back, holy sh*t," one fan wrote.

"Ufffffffffffff" was another comment.

Celebrity likes also came in from Kaley Cuoco, Ashley Graham, and Ashley Tisdale.

Justin Bieber Just Delivered His Joey Phrase

For fans of "Friends," there's just nothing like it. It also looks like the series has its celebrity following. Just recently, superstar singer Justin Bieber appeared on James Corden's "Carpool Karaoke." The 25-year-old confessed that he and wife Hailey Baldwin like to spend time at home watching TV.

When James prompted Justin to list what he and Hailey binge watch, the "Sorry" singer replied that the 2018-couple watches "Friends." Justin then delivered Joey Tribbiani's most-iconic "How you doin?'" line, much to the audience's delight.

Matthew Perry Was The Final Cast Member To Join Instagram

Matthew Perry made major headlines this month for being the final cast member to sign up to Instagram. The man behind Chandler Bing posted an iconic "Chandler dance" video as his first post, with his account quickly racking up followers – Perry's following currently sits at 5.3 million. He too, has posted the image shared by Jen.

The cast is set to earn $2.25 million each for their reunion, per Variety.

"Friends" hit screens in 1994, airing until 2004. The NYC-set sitcom is now considered one of the most iconic ever made. Clearly, though, there's more to come from the big six.
