We've been waiting for this moment for over a decade. There have been jokes, and pranks about it before. It's never been real.

But now, in 2020, we finally have news that a Friends reunion special is going to be airing on HBO Max.

After Friends was pulled from Netflix streaming services, we all felt a little lost Friends fans turned to watching The Office or bought all 10 seasons of the famous show online for tons of money.

Either way, we're getting more 'Friends.' 2020 is our year.

What About the Cast?

The cast was the best part of the show Friends. It wouldn't have been the same without any of them. Jennifer Aniston, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer, Lisa Kudrow, and Cortney Cox will all be returning for the special, thankfully.

We can't wait to see them all perform together again. It'll be just like old times—we hope.

HBO Max will be airing the reunion show on their streaming service, along with the addition of all 10 seasons. That's right, you'll be able to stream Friends again.

What is the Reunion Show?

"Guess you could call this the one where they all got back together," Kevin Reilly, chief content officer at HBO Max stated.

He went on to say,

"I became aware of Friends when it was in the very early stages of development and then had the opportunity to wokr on the series many years later and have delighted in seeing it catch on with viewers generation after generation. It taps into an era when friends – and audiences – gathered together in real-time and we think this reunion special with capture that spirit, uniting original and new fans."

And the Original Creative Team

Along with the cast, the original creative team will be returning as well. Creators Marta Kauffman and David Crane will return as executive producers alongside Kevin Bright. Ben Winston will also be directing.

We can't wait to see more details on the actual reunion special. Will it just be one episode or will it be multiple? What will the plot be about? Is it going to be scripted or unscripted? Will it also be filmed in front of a live studio audience? We have too many questions.

The One With the Reunion Show

No matter what happens, we're getting a Friends reunion show. After 16 years of the show being off the air, the iconic team is finally getting back together.

Can you believe that Friends went off the air in 2004, if you were even born before that. Friends has this magical quality where it can be enjoyed by many different ages and generations. That's where its found its success.

It's looking like a few other fan favorite television shows are dipping out of Netflix soon too. Hopefully we don't lose anything too good.
