Move over, The Rock – Kelly Ripa‘s in the house. The 49-year-old former actress and talk show host just proved she’s got the hardest abs in Hollywood – all this after making major headlines for talking about ditching alcohol, quitting smoking, and having “much of my life devoted to having the perfect diet.”
Kelly took to her Instagram stories ahead of the weekend with a quick photo and video of herself with friend and personal trainer Anna Kaiser. Suffice to say that the abs on show were on a whole other level.
Kelly didn’t indicate whether or not her snap was a throwback. Regardless, it showed the “Live! With Kelly and Ryan” host in a recent image, with Kelly looking jaw-dropping as she flaunted her rock-hard, sculpted, and mind-blowing abs.
Kelly posed with a bulging bicep raised, one hand on her tiny waist, and a fierce and celebratory expression as she stood in a dance studio with Anna. Kelly rocked a tiny and cropped black tee, with space between it and a pair of spandex leggings showing off that torso. Anna, meanwhile, wore black and white, also flashing her abs.
Shortly after posting the photo, Kelly shared a video of herself and Anna – the two ladies were in the same outfits, with the video seeing Kelly give a nod to Anna’s “last third decade workout.”
This video seemed more about the celebrating than the working out, with Kelly and Anna seen close up and talking into the camera. Over on Kelly’s first story, text had appeared confirming that the image was a repost from Anna – her Instagram handle was seen at the top, with words also giving Ripa a shout-out.
“Ending this decade like I started it…With my boo!! @kellyripa.”
Anna didn’t confirm whether her last decade pertained to 2019/2020 or a birthday.
Kelly made headlines this week for revealing why she stopped drinking nearly three years ago. Speaking to People, Kelly divulged that quitting alcohol wasn’t something she’d thought out too much – Kelly also mentioned diet and exercise.
“So much of my life has been devoted to having the perfect diet, having excellent nutrition, having a fitness routine I can get behind and practice every day, and I do, I exercise seven days a week. I rarely have a cheat day, diet-wise. I’m pretty stringent about taking care of myself a certain way. But [vitamins were] the one thing that seemed so overwhelming to me, and so mind-numbing,” Kelly stated.
Kelly was recently revealed as the celebrity face for vitamin and supplement brand, Persona Nutrition. An Instagram update made on February 5 came with the platform’s required “paid promotion” disclaimer. While the company likely shifted its merch pretty easily with Kelly as spokesperson, the post itself ended up being hilarious – husband Mark Consuelos thought the strip of vitamins Kelly was holding looked like an ultrasound strip.
With 2.7 million followers, it’s fair to assume that Kelly is netting decent profits from the ad. Then again, with that body, she’s the perfect health spokesperson.
