"The Office was absolutely everything to me," Krasinski told Esquire. "I mean, it is my beginning and my end. ... That was my first experience with Hollywood." 'The Office' was his and his acting partner, Jenna Fischer who played Pam's, first lead acting credit. Krasinski also claimed that 'The Office' introduced him to "the most important people in that most important experience in my career." He added enthusiastically, "If they did a reunion, I would absolutely love to do it."

"I think we should reboot," Krasinski suggested during a 2018 interview with Entertainment Weekly. “Maybe we could do like a Christmas special or something."

Krasinski knows that the role of Jim will always follow him and he has embraced it. "I'm pretty sure at the end of my career I'll still be known for Jim," he told Esquire. "The Office was so big at the time, but I think a lot of people were afraid to cast certain cast members in anything else because they were just known as that one thing, which I completely understood,"

Krasinski isn't the only 'The Office' actor to bring up the possibility of a reboot.

Steve Carell, who played the infamous incompetent boss Michael Scott, joked around about what a reboot would look like. "You know what I thought would be a great for 'The Office?' Not reboot 'The Office,' but take The Office cast and reboot Cheers. So, like I would be Sam,” Carell said on 'The Ellen Show,' "and Jenna would be.. you know like just take different characters.”

On a serious note, Carell is not on board with a possible reboot.

However, whether Carell likes it or not, the chances of a reboot are very likely.

“It is my hope and goal that we do an Office reboot,” NBCU’s Bonnie Hammer, Chairman of Direct-to-Consumer and Digital Enterprises, told [Deadline.]

“The Office comes back to us in January 2021. It is my hope that we can figure what that great reboot would be,” Hammer said. “We are having conversations.”

“All of our choices, especially in the beginning, we are doing them strategically so they connect back to our legacy,” Hammer said.
