Relationship rumors are the type of gossip so many people like to talk about. Did they? Are they? Tabloids usually have a way of putting these ideas in our heads, and our brains (and the internet) just sort of run with it. Except, this time it wasn't the tabloids. It was Diddy's actions that got the internet buzzing with rumors of him and Lauren London dating.

It's a bad time for the gossip with London's lover, Nipsey Hussle, murdered just last year, and London isn't having it with these rumors.

He probably didn't mean to stir up drama and get the internet going crazy, but let's face it, it was Diddy's fault. On February 19, Diddy shared two black and white pictures of himself and Lauren London to his Instagram, then he did what nobody trying to avoid rumors like these should do: he deleted them. It was a recipe for scandal, and the internet rumor mill took hold.

The pictures, though scandalous as they may have seemed, weren't all that recent.

The pictures were from before the Grammys

The pictures that Diddy shared weren't the two announcing their rumored relationship, but pictures taken at the annual Roc Nation Brunch before the Grammys back in January. The outfits coincide with what they were wearing in other photos from January 25 at the pre-Grammy event, wear London arrived with Nipsey's sister Samantha Smith.

Diddy had shared other photos from the Roc Nation Brunch previously, so the pictures of him and London weren't really out of the ordinary. Unfortunately, they did kind of look like two were being flirty, which didn't help the case.

London had some things to say

London hopped on Instagram and got pretty frank pretty fast, saying:

"Stop f***in playing with me and my name. Now Let me get back to healing"

and continued with:

"I’m all love and peace but never forget....I’m a woman in grief and I don’t play about Nip, my family ,my character and code."

It's pretty clear from London's Instagram post that she isn't in the mood to mess around with rumors that claim she's already moving on from her tragic loss, especially one claiming she's in the arms of someone she considers a close friend.

After a wave of backlash from fans online for making it seem like he was putting the moves on London, Diddy reposted the pictures to his Instagram, but this time he captioned them with messaging saying:

"Me & My Sister"

Diddy went on to share a whole series of photos in black and white under the caption "lost files." The photos feature him and London, and also his son and Jay Z. He's doing his part in trying to dispell the untasteful rumors, and we're doing ours. It seems like London and Diddy are nothing more than close friends.
