Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino was finally released from prison in September of 2019 after being sentenced to eight months for tax evasion in 2018. He was also fined $10,000 and was ordered to complete 500 hours of community service. This news was not only devastating to his family, but to his wife, Lauren Sorrentino and his castmates from 'Jersey Shore.' He has been roomies with Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, Jenni "Jwoww" Farley, Pauly DelVecchio, Angelina Pivarnick, Vinny Guadagnino, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Deena Cortese.

The second half of Season 3, Family Vacation, is set to premier on February 27 and fans will have the chance to watch Mike as he leaves the prison for good. During his absence, his roommates fought like crazy but they were always happy to speak to him when he was able to call. Upon his release, he was ecstatic to finally spend time with his wife as they planned on starting a family. During the upcoming episode, fans will be able to see how Mike notified his wife that he was being released.

A Changed Man

Words can't express how grateful Mike has been throughout his triumphs and strife. He is a changed man as years before he was not in a good place. Recovering from drugs and alcohol was an ultimate goal for Mike and he definitely accomplished this. He calls himself, "Big Daddy Sitch" as he knows he's a better man for his wife and castmates. His life was spiraling out of control and he knew he had to make some important changes in order to live a happy, fulfilling life.

Support and Love

Fans have expressed their support and love for 'The Situation' ( a nickname his castmates made up because Mike's abs always caused a "situation" with females and their boyfriends) because he has truly taken the initiative to step up and change his life. He is an overall better man to himself, to his body (he gained a massive amount of weight but then lost it during his prison sentence), to his wife, to his family and his friends. He's stated many times that he will be forever grateful for the support.

Countdown

The countdown to the second half of Season 3 is in full swing and the whole crew will once again be "reunited." The partying will most likely start up again but hopefully the fights sort of sizzle down. Will Mike continue to enjoy life and stay clean? He most certainly should as he's worked so hard to get to this point. He has a lot support and has become devoted into making his life worth living. His fans wish him the best of luck!
