Angela Simmons has been dropping jaws. The daughter to rapper Rev Run and “Growing Up Hip-Hop” star took to Instagram this week to promote the Purpose App she recently founded – the app links up women with a platform to share their voices and lives, with the theme being an empowering one.
Angela updated her Instagram on Thursday with a string of bikinin snaps including herself and other women – given that Angela is a star, though, it’s of little surprise why the snap showing her proved the most popular.
Angela’s photo showed her in full sunlight and posing against a plain wall and segmented cement panels. The 32-year-old was looking sensational, flaunting her fit and curvy frame in a super-tiny black bikini. The string two-piece was definitely minimal, but the barely-there feel only enhanced the reality star’s curvy hips, flat stomach, cleavage, and sexy thighs.
Angela posed gazing to the side and smiling, also sporting a full face of makeup accentuating her features. The teeny-tiny swimwear look may have been the source of likes for some fans, but the message wasn’t about swimwear.
A caption from Angela mentioned her background, alongside some self-love.
“Real Women – Real Stories …
I am Angela Simmons … I grew up in Queens , Ny … I gained my confidence through truly loving myself no matter what. I learned the true meaning of love when I stopped putting up with BS others bring to the table. Ok is not ok for my life! I want incredible!! So I’m going to get it ! ?: @meech213

Angela’s update didn’t go unnoticed. Comments and likes came in fast, with the update itself sitting at over 13,000 likes in just one hour.
“Ok we playing,” one fan wrote.
“Real bodies matter,” another said, possibly also referring to the string of photos Angela had included showing other women in bikinis. The women were of all shapes and sizes.
One user requested a follow-back.
“Good mentality to have and since I’m one of your biggest fans, you should hit me with that follow back @angelasimmons,” they wrote.
Angela has made headlines this year for continuing to mourn the loss of ex-fiancé Sutton Tennyson – Sutton was fatally shot back in November 2018 in Atlanta Georgia. A 2020 episode of “Growing Up Hip Hop” showed Angela beaking down into tears over the tragic death. A clip was also shared to Angela’s Instagram.
“I was with my son, and super emotional right, even to talk about it. He was looking out the window and he’s like, ‘Daddy, white car,'” she said, crying.
“I question him, ‘Where do you see him?’ or ‘Who is Daddy? What does he look like?’ I’m asking him. I’m like, ‘Do you want to see your dad?’ and he’s like, ‘Yes.’ So he comes over and I start showing him videos and pictures and stuff, and he stopped. It’s not like he’s full conversational yet, so this is what kind of makes it emotional. He was like, ‘Is he alive?'” she added.
