Jax Taylor lashed out at Tom Sandoval on Twitter after being berated by his former friend during Tuesday night’s new episode of Vanderpump Rules for allegedly turning a blind eye to his former pastor’s anti-LGBTQ social media posts until Lisa Vanderpump confronted him about the issue.
Following the airing of the show, Taylor shared a series of tweets in which he accused Sandoval of acting a certain way when the cameras are rolling in an effort to make himself look good on the show.
“Hey let’s wait till we have a party for poor Peter who just wants to have a good time, and the cameras are up to bring this up… you had all day to talk to me about this,” Taylor said on Twitter on February 20, via People. “Purely ruined the party so you could get attention in my opinion.”
“Tom does things for tv so he looks good,” he added. “Period. You all live in a fantasy world.”
Taylor and Cartwright ultimately fired their pastor after learning of his anti-LGBTQ comments but they didn’t do so quick enough for Sandoval.
While Taylor and Cartwright were confronted about their controversial pastor by Vanderpump on Tuesday’s show, Taylor insisted in a tweet that it was not their conversation with her that caused them to fire the pastor.
“[Lisa Vanderpump] has zero to do with any decisions I have made,” he explained. “I make my own decisions, I think I have earned that over 8 years.”
Taylor and Cartwright learned of the past messages that had been shared by their former pastor and chose to fire him themselves before adding Lance Bass as their wedding officiant.
While Taylor did give his controversial pastor the boot, he made it clear on his Twitter page this week that he was not going to dislike someone just because they were raised to believe certain things.
“I may not agree with them, but will not hate them,” he explained.
Taylor then took aim at Sandoval’s TomTom partnership with Tom Schwartz after someone suggested he was a good friend and a good business partner.
“He constantly belittles Tom Schwartz and puts him down regarding his home, his marriage, how he handles business, but yeah he’s a good friend?” Taylor asked. “Are we watching the same show?”
During an interview with The Daily Dish earlier this month, Taylor said that his months-long marriage to Cartwright has been wonderful.
“Being married means… You know, everyone else is going to say, ‘You’re first year is always your hardest,’ and this and that. It’s actually not. Being married is awesome. It’s the same thing as dating to me,” he said. “I think the only thing that’s changed in my life is I’m responsible for somebody now. You know, it’s my wife.”
