Kate Hudson and her brother Oliver Hudson are some of the coolest Hollywood siblings out there. The two appeared on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” this week and Ellen got them to dish on all the things they would do as teenagers during a game that Ellen made up called Truth or Shot, a spin-off of Truth or Dare. The siblings didn’t hesitate to agree to play a game that could be quite revealing. We are sure they didn’t realize it would get this deep.
The game started off innocent enough with Ellen asking the brother and sister to reveal something illegal they did in high school. Kate chimed in with “make fake ID’s” which she admitted to also using. Sounds like she had a normal upbringing and did what other teenagers were doing. However, when Oliver looked like he was ready to reveal more, sister Kate shot him a look that had him taking a shot instead. “I’m afraid people will think poorly of me,” said Oliver.
Fortunately, for us, the game got a little more candid than the siblings thought it would and soon enough Kate was revealing a story about her mother telling a friend about when Kate lost her virginity. “She just talked about the first time I told her I had sex, to someone, in front of me.” Said Kate. “That was embarrassing to me. I was like, ‘Mom, you don’t tell people about me losing my virginity!’” the questions continued to yield some insane answers.
Next up Ellen asked if they had ever smoked weed with their parents, they both have. No surprise there, Goldie and her long time partner Kurt Russell have been open in the past about participating in the casual joint or two. However, that’s when things got weird. Kate and Oliver would often throw parties when their parents were out of time. “We were naughty when our parents would leave town and we always had like parties. Mom would find out about it, if a lamp was broken it was not good.” Oliver chimed in saying that Kate would invite “industry people” AKA her famous friends and Oliver would invite the “riff raff”.
That’s when Kate told a bizarre story about A-lister Tom Cruise. “I’m standing at the door, making sure people who aren’t supposed to be at the party aren’t coming in. There’s like 400 people at my parents’ house,” said Kate. “I see someone scaling, literally scaling an 8-foot gate at my parents house. I’m freaking out. They come off and do a back-handspring thing. I’m about to yell at this guy and it’s Tom Cruise.” Of course, she was excited. “I was like, ‘Oh, I didn’t realize you were coming to our party,'” to which Tom replied. “‘I heard there was a party.’ Yeah, Tom, come on in! He is Mission: Impossible.” If only we could hear more stories like this
